The Apartment is located on a typical Gracia’s building. A wonderful, spacious apartment with 24 hour free wifi connection if you bring your laptop. The absolute best location possible. You cannot be more centrally located.
As you enter you immediately notice the space of this very stylish apartment. The sleeping area has three double rooms: one with a Queen size bed, and two with single beds and wardrobe space.
In the kitchen you will find an oven, burners, toaster, coffee makers, microwave, fridge, washing machine etc.

The neighbourhood of Gracia is just one stop up from the top of Passeig de Gracia but it feels like a whole different world. Gracia was an independent town until the late 19th century and even now the community is small and tight. The people are exceedingly proud of their roots, they don’t say they come from Barcelona, they say Gracia.
The area is popular with artists and a generally bohemian crowd, it also has a high ethnic population and the highest concentration of foreign restaurants in Barcelona. Plaça de Sol is the most renowned area of the neighbourhood, it’s lined with terrace cafes and at night this is where the people convene to drink and be merry. However despite the trendy nature of Gracia it is also a very traditional barrio with a large elderly population which makes for an amusing and odd mix - and very entertaining people-watching!
Gracia is also well-known for it’s festival which is held for 5 days in August and sees the locals competing in street decoration (they take it very seriously!). The results are usually spectacular, and at night the festival comes alive with drinks stalls and stages of live music of every variety.
Fontana and Diagonal are the metro stops, and from there you can get into the centre of the city, Paseo de Gracia in less than 5 minutes and Plaza Catalunya in less than 10 minutes. Also near the metro stop is a cinema that plays films in their original language (version original).
Gracia is totally self-sufficient. That is to say you could stay in Gracia and never have to leave, there are good amenities of every sort, great bars, cosy cafes, a real Mediterranean lifestyle. Whilst everything like the buildings, streets and placas are in much smaller scale than those in the centre of town there is some striking art nouveau architecture to be seen.
The area is quite safe and away from the main squares where people drink outside until the early hours it is also quiet.
The area is perfect for those who want something a little bit different, those who perhaps have been to Barcelona before and want a different tourist experience. Although really because central Barcelona is so easily accessible from Gracia it is suitable for everyone.
One of the best features of Gracia is that there are not so many tourists so you feel like you’ve discovered something a bit new and diverse. Shopping is also good in Gracia, where new, arty boutiques stand next to traditional Spanish stores.
The supermarket is located just a minute away from the apartment. Just minutes from Plaza Catalunya and therefore a five minute walk to the famous Paseo de Gracia, where you can visit the Casa BatllĂł (GaudĂ), and the best shops in town. The Location could not be bettered.
It have great communications by public transport with all the interesting tourist points of the city. If you want to go by metro (nearest metro station is 200 meters away) you can get Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas in five minutes and any other tourist area in less than 10 minutes.

After being in Madrid for 2 days, my family and I (wife and four kids aged 6 to 17) came to Barcelona and stayed in this apartment after finding it via a web search. We were immediately greeted by Joan and Elisabeth, the owners, who showed us the apartment and spent 20 minutes giving us tips about Barcelona including a personalized map of the neighborhood upon which they had by hand marked 24 restaurants, cafes and points of interest. Very nice. The apartment is just as described and worked very well for our family. The bedrooms are all private and have a 6 beds (one queen, 4 twins). The apartment is 300 meters from a metro stop - quite convenient. It is in a wonderful residential area, not so touristy, and that was a major plus to us. Beautiful cafe's, bakeries and shops nearby that were mostly populated by residents (although almost all had English menu's available upon request). So, the upside is a beautiful traditional neighborhood, the downside is that the main tourist area is a 2 stop metro ride (or 30 minute walk). Although, it should be noted that the Sagrada Familia, perhaps the biggest tourist destination, is not in central Barcelona either. Overall, we loved this apartment and the wonderful hosts.

This apartment is located outside the main tourist area of Barcelona, in a pleasant residential area,and is an easy walk into the city centre. It is close to two very good local markets and to the local plaza where in the evening locals and their children gather.
The main bedroom is a good size. The two other bedrooms are rather small and although one bedroom has two single beds, they are close together and two adults would find the space too cramped. We were a party of four adults and found the apartment comfortable. For any number above this it would start to be somewhat claustrophobic.
The owners were pleasant and helpful. -

We recently traveled to Barcelona for the first time with our 3 children and had a wonderful stay at this Gracia area apartment. The apartment was very clean and well organized. The apt has a nice kitchen with everything you need but that you'll never need because there are so many great places to eat in Barcelona! We liked that the apt was easy to get to from the airport via the Metro and also to go site seeing. We walked almost everywhere. The area is nice and quiet during the day but does get a bit loud in the evening which never bothered us. A charming square is just steps away, a bakery outside the door and a Japanese restaurant directly across from the apt. Only recommendation would be for some warmer blankets on the beds as the evenings are cooler in Oct. We really loved this place and meeting Joan and Elisabeth was also a pleasure. Joan was very kind on our arrival and he gave us helpful tips on how to get to things. If you go to Barcelona, choose this place, you won't be disappointed!

The apartment is beautifully maintained, clean and spacious. It has all the amenities you need. The location is perfect just off of a lovely square. It is close to a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, shops, restaurants and metro stop. We felt very safe here with our young children. Joan and Elisabeth are wonderful hosts...friendly, kind, responsive and always happy to help and offer suggestions. We have rented many apartments over the years and this one is the best of all. A great value for such a fabulous aparment. If we return to Barcelona, we will absolutely stay here again.

As me and my wife began to look for a place to stay in Barcelona, we were overwhelm with the amount of rentals available throughout the city. As first time visitors to the city, we could not decide which apartment to choose. In the end we chose Joan and Elisabeth's property based on the location, description and previous reviews and let me say that we could have not been anymore happier with our decision. Joan and Elisabeth, were wonderful and very helpful from our initial
contact through the end of our stay. Joan was at the apartment to greet us on our arrival and the apartment was just as described and pictured on the website. It met all of our expectations and then some. Joan provided us with useful information regarding the city and made several suggestions of things to do and see. Elisabeth email us a list of all the different types of restaurants available near the apartment. Whenever, we had any questions or needed advice, Joan and Elisabeth were always available. The apartment is located across from a very good japanese restaurant and an even better bakery, which was perfect since we could walk across and get fresh baked chocolate croissants to enjoy with our coffee in the morning. Also, after spending the days seeing all the sights and being around lots of other tourist, it was welcoming coming back to the apartment and enjoying some peace and tranquility. The area in which the apartment is located is ideal if you are looking to see and learn what everyday life in Barcelona is like. At the same time, the nearest metro station is only a mere 5 minute walk away and from there you can get to any point in the city whether it be Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya or my favorite the Camp Nou (FC Barcelona's stadium). Keeping in mind that all of these places with, the exception of the Camp Nou, are within walking distances as well. I can go on and on about how wonderful this apartment. I would definitely recommend it for anyone that is traveling to Barcelona -

This is a great place to stay if you are going to spend time in Barcelona. The apartment is very clean and modern with all the amenities you need for an extended stay. Six of us stayed in this apartment during our visit and felt very comfortable. The location is great, just off the main avenue and near many great restaurants and cafes. The owners are very helpful and gave us many great recommendations for places to eat and visit. They even arranged for a taxi when we left to go to the airport. I would stay in this apartment again without thinking twice. I have rented many apartments from Vrbo and this was one of the best I have stayed in. The owners are by far the most helpful of any owners I have worked with in Eurrope or the United States.

We've rented many apartments on Vrbo, and this one ranks with the best. Joan and Elisabeth are awesome hosts, answering all of our questions, marking up a map so we had a clue where we were going, and emailing us restaurant recommendations. The apartment looks exactly like the pictures, is perfectly maintained and in an ideal location, close to Metro stations but far enough from the noisy tourist areas. There's a sushi restaurant and a pastry shop about 50 feet out the front door of the building, and just about everything else you'd ever need just minutes away. We loved the apartment and Barcelona, weren't ready to leave after a week's stay, and absolutely, positively would return in a heartbeat. Joan and Elisabeth, thanks for helping make this a memorable spring break vacation

This rental was perfect for our purposes and better than advertised. It is excellently situated, very well equipped, very clean and well maintained and with the added advantage of having extremely gracious, helpful and informed owners who worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable. They quickly provided suggestions for local dining, touring, sightseeing, transportation, etc. We imposed on them to talk about their lives and life in Barcelona which they quite willingly did. In short, Joan and Elisabeth bent over backward to make our stay enjoyable and rewarding. You will not go wrong in making this appartment your home in Barcelona.
