Apartment Alegre is a bright and attractive four bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, situated on the 4th floor (with elevator) of a well-maintained building. It is centrally located in Barcelona, near the historical part of the Eixample area, at a short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping. The apartment has a glass-enclosed balcony, as well as a small balcony off the main bedroom. Recently renovated with great attention to detail and comfort, Apartment Alegre still has the century-old mosaic floors (a different design in every room), the original woodwork on the doors and windows, and high ceil...ings.

*Please note, prices listed are for eight guests. Additional guests are $35/nt per person extra. Apartment Alegre features a comfortable living room with sofas, chairs, 42" flat screen TV, DVD player and video library. The separate dining area seats up to 10 guests. There are four double bedrooms sharing two full bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster and all utensils.   Lovely apartment for Large Family or Two Families

  We loved our stay in this apartment. We were a family with three kids under 13, one grandmother, and two 40 somethings. The apartment suited our mixed group perfectly.
  
  There are two rooms with twin beds in each, one room with a queen and a huge master bedroom. All rooms share two bathrooms that are centrally located in the hallway. The living room is nice, comfortable and has a nice TV which we enjoyed watching a movie on one night. The dining area is bright and worked well for us doing homework, but is long and narrow with two tables but the space works best having people only sit on three sides and not have people on both long sides of the tables. The kitchen has everything we needed and we did cook.
  
  The building is in a great location within easy walking distance to Sagrada de Familia, subway stops (at least two), restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and markets. We walked from the apartment all the way to the water front which was a long walk but one we would have done more often if not for dragging kids and grandmothers along! The building did have a lift which was used by a few in our party, but you have to walk up about 7 stairs to reach the lowest level of the elevator so it wouldn't work for those unable to do stairs.
  
  The apartment also has lovely little balconies off the master bedroom which were lovely for sitting and getting some quiet. The street noise was not bad as the road below is not a hugely busy one.
  
  Overall, we loved our stay in Barcelona and at this apartment and would recommend it for others.
