This apartment was perfect for us (family of 3 with one 5-yr old). The neighborhood is adorable, and in the middle of everything. It was very clean, had a nice modern design, with some beautiful original architectural elements (exposed wood beam ceiling), and really cute kitchen. Being in an apartment, as opposed to a hotel, made us feel like we were having a more authentic Barcelona experience and allowed us to save a little money by cooking our own breakfasts.
A heads up that this apartment is about 6 flights of stairs up, with no elevator, which can be a little exhausting, upon arrival, with all of your luggage. But it's a nice workout after eating all those tapas!
Also, at the time of our visit, there was no wifi in the apt, which was somewhat inconvenient (we had planned on using our smart phone apps to get around), but we were able to find a few local coffee shops/cafes that had wifi access pretty close by, so we'd just hit them as we headed out in the morning and coming home in the evening to check emails, Facebook, etc.
Overall, a really great value, cleanly designed apartment, in a great neighborhood. We'd go back in a heartbeat. -

The house was really nice
There is no lift, but the location is very good if one likes travelling going to the ramlblas and staying at the beach it is 10 min to the beach 5 min to the ramblas and central in the port.
Using the metro is very easy,also having provided metro and bus plans and a city map under the table of the gothic style appartment proved to be very helpful.
it was a very nice stay and the check in and check out was overwhelmingly easy and fast.
A big thank you for a very cheap mit qualitative appartment :)
