The apartment was clean and roomy. Best of all was its location, just a five minute walk to Las Ramblas. At night time, the small street outside the apartment was streaming with people walking about and just having a good time. Our college age children went to the numerous clubs within a short walking distance and enjoyed both the atmosphere and meeting the nice people. Conveniently located across the street from the apartment was a small bakery to get fresh rolls and pastries for breakfast, There were many good restaurants within a fifteen minute walk so as to satisfy the taste and budget of almost anyone. The area was really hopping and a bit noisy all night long - which may bother some people but we found it tolerable and slept well. I was anxious at first about booking a rental apartment abroad but the booking agents provided prompt responses and the apartment representative, who met us in person, was friendly and very courteous. Barcelona was a fun, entertaining, exciting, and interesting place to visit. All of our family members rated Barcelona as the top European vacation we've ever had.

Great place for 3-4 days. Top location, near Catalunya and all transport means are close.
Only 1 thing to improve is the soundproofing of the windows in the front rooms. It is a busy avenue, and noise could be reduced with better windows.

Quite a find we thought this place was, a grand building, very centrally located near the famous Barcelona openroof tour bus stops, the underground, main roads, supermarkets, shops and Catalunya Square and the Ramblas. Owner lives in France, property managed by Spanish company with bilingual staff (spanish english) that was very friendly. We had a great stay here, the place was clean, nicely decorated, lay out was practical. On the down side: noisy bedrooms at one side of the house, with traffic and bars being quite loud but not a real problem if you want to be at the heart of a city. The staircase was quite noisy too at times, voices carry well through the old building. Also had some neighbors drinking loudly till 4 am but the way the house is set up, only one bedroom (the smallest one) suffered from the noise. We had a mysterious and major flooding of the biggest bathroom and only found out ourselves on the morning of the last day that it was a clogged drain we could easily unclog. Would have been good if that was checked before the place was rented out. And as for the lift, it goes to all floors but it is so tiny it could be french and you still have to do some 5-8 steps down to the actual front door of the apartment and also to get to the lift from the ground floor. We had plenty of bags & suitcases, a pram and two old folks, it took ages to get the whole circus up and down.
