Small, intimate, friendly and funky, 'Born' has been has been transformed almost overnight into the stylish, in-vogue heart of the city with its soul set in the wide open, tree-lined Passeig del Born. At one end of the Passeig is an impressive metal and glass structure, the former Mercat del Born covered market, while at the other end is one of the most important Gothic churches in all Catalonia, The Santa Maria del Mar, if you get lucky you may just catch a wedding there.

# HOW TO BOOK:
25% is due at time of booking via PAYPAL. You do not have to have a payal account to transfer money but pay pal transfers will incur a 4% fee and is the liability of the guest.
The remaining 75% is due on arrival in CASH in EUROS.
# Please note: If guest are departing your day of arrival check in time is at 4pm, however it is always possible to drop off luggage at 11am and return by 4pm (sometimes earlier) when the apartment will have been cleaned and prepared for you.

A photocopy of the passport from the person who reserved and booked the apartment will be required on check in. The confirmation of the reservation will also be required.
Full refund of the 25% deposit given if cancellations are made 30 days in advance of arrival. After 30 days, no refund. Prices will not be adjusted if guests drop out / leave early once the 25% has been paid.

In april 2012 5 of us stayed in this apartment which was extremely well located in the Ribeira district near the Picasso museum. The apartment was comfortable and only a very short walk to Jaume station. Sadly it was too cold to use the rooftop terrace as that would be delightful in warm weather. It is located upstairs with no lift, which might be an issue for some, but not for us.

The erceival by Jordi was very nice and we liked the apartment which was nice and spacious and well decorated. Also the contact with Claire was kind and pleasant. However the apartment was not very well cleaned. We called Jordi and he arranged that the cleaners came back! However the quality af the cleaning is not very well. When people outside are talking in the street it is like they are standing in the room (even with windows closed). The location of the apartment is very nice!! Shops and restaurants closeby.
We liked best: the location and the apartment space and decoration. We liked less: the cleaning and noise. Overall we had a very nice stay!! -

Totally bohemian! We went to visit our daughter who was studying abroad. I thought it best to get an apartment so we had room to spread out. Well this place was great. The area El borne is so Soho. We loved everything about it. I really felt like I was a part of the culture. My daughter and her friends loved the apartment and area.
This is an area for people who like to be where it's happening... -

This apartment is great! We spent 2 weeks in Barcelona and we had a wonderfull time. Me & my daughters loved the huge bathroom with 2 showers, the open kitchen and the comfortable sofa. The roof terrace is great at night after a hot summer day. In the neighborhood are good restaurants, famous museums and a market with delicious fresh food. We didn't need a car and walked to the beach in 15 minutes, we rent bicycles for sightseeing. We enjoyed our stay and we would rent the apartment again when we come back.

This is a great refurbishment of an old building, right in the heart of the Born neighborhood. Lots of charm and really great location in the narrow streets, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. We were a group of six, and this apartment had plenty of bedrooms for all of us, as well as a nice big lounge and kitchen.

Myself and 3 girlfriends rented this apartment in September, it was everything we hoped it would be. Great location,really big rooms lots of space for all of us including the bathrooms. The roof terrace is a great bonus and lovely to be able to sit and watch the sunset over the city with a nice glass of wine!
The service from Bcnbound was excellent, and the instructions were very easy to follow and lots of great tips on where to eat where to drink and very importantly where to shop.

This was a lovely apartment with everything you could want for your holiday in it. I have been to Barcelona many many times and always stayed with Bcnbound and this has to be one of the nicest and most convenient apartment on thier books. Plenty of room for family or friends to all sleep comfortably. There were several of us this time and it was great.

this apartment is right in the el borne area which is the best place to stay, all the tourist sights are nearby and the metro is 30 seconds away. It is huge, well furnished, has free wifi, air con and 3 huge double bedrooms. The main bathroom is lovely and the 2nd shower room great for our large party of 7 persons. The roof terrace was great for having a drink. Thanks for all.

This is the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed at. Right in the city centre with everything we needed on our doorstep. The apartment itself is beautifully furnished and really well looked after. Our meeter and greeter George was fantastic and showed us around and answered all our questions. He also showed us up to the roof terrace where we sipped cocktails as the sun went down. Truly a wonderful place to be, spacious and light with a feeling of luxury. We can't thank you enough! We loved it and the price was great too!

Claire @ Bcnbound was great to deal with from the very start! I had originally booked a dif apartment with them and was asked later if I would consider this apartment. No problem there as this place was huge with a roof top patio!
All emails and questions were answered quickly and I found this company very professional.
The apartment is as it looks in the photos... normal wear on the sofas etc but the bathrooms (spotless & modern) and well stocked kitchen put this place over the top! Very quiet building and an amazing location. The Picasso museum is two minutes away...the metro stop Jaume again a couple minutes in the other direction... just a short walk to either Boqueria or Santa Caterina markets... Cathedrals ...Palau Musica...some of the best bakeries and shops... so much in this area... takes less than 10 minutes to walk to the Marina... The only thing I would mention to anyone new to this area (or any old area of barcelona) is that dont be put off if you arrive at night. The streets are narrow and winding and the locals put thier garbage out at night for pick up in morning... graffitti is all over barcelona...and yes... there are still drunken tourists who will use what they think is an alley instead of finding a toilet... I actually had been sent an email by another traveller to this area warning me to stay away... thankfully I had spent a lot of time in El Born, Raval, and other similar areas last year... I love the charm of this area...it is very very safe...and again... you are so close to everything !!!
I travelled solo this trip and was never nervous walking from early day or late night...
and after a long days walking...there is a six foot soaker tub in one of the bathrooms!!! Fast , new, washer/dryer... just bring a couple tablets for the dishwasher and the washing machine... there is also a very secure safe in the apartment.. english TV & free wifi... seriously,.. a fantastic apartment. The roof top patio is very nice as well... views of two different church towers and you can hear the bells ringing from tower to tower across the city... was a nice place for a lunch break and cold beverage... friendly neighbors too.
The owners also arranged a private driver for me as I was arriving late and that was appreciated too.
I def recommend this apartment! Thanks to Claire for helping make this last trip to Barcelona great !!
