The Ausias Marc apartment is a recently renovated apartment, stylishly decorated and fully equipped; with it's central location is a great choice for your visit to Barcelona!

The Ausias Marc is centrally located on the edge of the Gothic Quarter and the more residential and grandiose Eixample area. Being only 2 streets to Catalunya Square epicenter of Barcelona, can be reachable straight from the airport by aerobus or train.

There are all kind of services and amenities at your doorstep such as a supermarket, a 24 hours grocery a gymnasium and one parking in the same building. Also some of the main attractions such as Palau de la... Musica ( http://www.palaumusica.cat/en) or some of the best masterpieces by Gaudi such as La Pedrera ( http://www.lapedrera.com/en/home ) or Casa Batllo ( http://www.casabatllo.es/en/) are within 5 minutes walking from the apartment.

As well as the Boqueria market, the Cathedral and the Picasso Museum in the trendy Born area and also Las Ramblas.

It can accommodate up to six people comfortably and comes fully equipped to ensure your vacation is a hassle free one...

The Apartment;

The Ausias Marc is a great two double bedroom apartment on the first floor with lift of a typical "Eixmple" building with doorman in what is also known as the "golden triangle", .. The location is wonderful and the apartment has been stylishly decorated to maximize it's full potential.. the guests will feel welcome and comfortable from the moment they walk in... with beautifully styled ceilings 4 meters high, and the lovely hard wood floors throughout give a great feeling of warmth...

The two bedrooms are very accommodating; the main bedroom comes with a double bed and ample wardrobe space for the guests belongings; this large bedroom also has an extra sofa for relaxing and a lovely balcony from which the guest can watch the comings and goings of the locals and other visitors below; there is also a desk/table in this bedroom so the guest can be comfortable when accessing his emails via the internet access provided in this apartment.... the smaller of the bedrooms come with two single beds and also wardrobe space... the smaller of the two bedrooms looks out onto a small indoor patio...

The living room is an excellent space for sitting back in and relaxing on the very comfortable and large sofa and chaise lounge; (also the sleeping area of the 5th and 6th guests)..... here the guest can avail of TV, DVD, etc... this apartment also comes with a telephone which allows the guest to call nationally for free and receive all incoming calls......

The kitchen and dining area are also on a par with the rest of the apartment; fully equipped, modern and ready for use, the guest will not be disappointed... the large dining table is great and a great spot for those "great holiday dinners"...

The bathroom although small is great, it comes with a large shower and marble basin and is very pleasant.. fresh towels await the guests....

The apartment has a small indoor patio where the washer and dryer are and the guest can do laundry...

The area surrounding the apartment;

The Ausias Marc apartment is located right in the middle of Barcelona city only a 150 meters from Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas, making it accessible to all areas of interest in Barcelona such as the Gothic Quarter, and the very trendy El Borne. At walking from the apartment you will find the superb food and produce market called La Boqueria ( http://www.boqueria.info/index.php?lang=en ) on Las Ramblas, an absolute must for any visitor to Barcelona and even closer there is the Santa Caterina Market ( http://www.mercatsantacaterina.com/01%20ALIMENTOS/aliments%20ok.html )

Walk out the front door of the apartment building and you have a shopping experience just waiting to happen all around you. Paseo de Gracia, about 3 mins walk, alone will keep you busy for hours. Here you will also find Gaudi's famous masterpieces La Pedrera and Casa Batllo.
For those fond of Art Galleries and Antiques will be delighted with the variety of them found in the proximity such as Godia Foundation ( http://www.fundacionfgodia.org/index.php/en/ ), Suñol Foundation ( http://www.fundaciosunol.org/fundacio_sunol/la_fundacio.php?lang=2 ) or famous contemporary Catalan painter Antoni Tàpies, (http://www.fundaciotapies.org/site/spip.php?rubrique64), along with the many Collector and Antique galleries in Consell de Cent Street.

Walk to Portal d'Angel and continue down to Portaferrisa where there are more stores for you to explore. A short 5-10 min walk will take you into El Borne one of of Barcelona's oldest neighbourhoods, an intricate maze of plaças and squares all interconnected by narrow, medieval streets where you will find lots of trendy boutiques and great bars, cafes and restaurants. Another option for the visitor staying at this great Barcelona apartment is to visit the Gothic quarter situated right in the heart of the old town, about a 8-10 mins walk from your front door, where you will find Palau de la Música (Music Palace), one of the world's most extraordinary music halls, with facades that are a riot of color and form, it is today considered the flagship of Barcelona's Moderniste architecture. The area is a body of interconnecting narrow, cobble stoned streets where you can potter around for hours and explore the shops and restaurants.

Las Ramblas is another must for the visitor in Barcelona where the famous "La Boqueria" market is, an 8 minute stroll to Las Ramblas from your front door, where you will be amused and entertained by all the street acts as you make your way down to the market.

  A large, airy, light filled, well outfitted, comfortable and very attractive apt. in a lovely building. beautiful and very comfortable bed. balconies overlooking an active but not terribly noisy street. nice kitchen with large dining table. large living room. elevator. friendly and helpful neighbors. great little outdoor cafe on the corner with superb coffee and food. supermarket on the block.
  
  A superb location. Just a few minutes walk to Placa Catalunya. easy walking distance to Las Ramblas, Gottic neighborhood, Passeig Gracia, some of the major Gaudi buildings. Easy and close access to metro and bus lines. Taxi stand nearby.
  
  There were only two of us but it could easily have accommodated another two.
  
  The host was helpful and accommodating. Provided guidebooks, brochures, recommendations and advice.

  Estuve en Barcelona en febrero con mi familia. El apartamento queda en una finca regia y con asensor. Cerca de todo, a 5 minutos caminando de plaza Cataluya. Enfrente hay un supermercado y muchos restaurantes cerca. Horacio muy amable, nos indicó los lugares para visitar.
  El apartamento muy confortable, con dos habitaciones amplias y en el salón el sofá era muy cómodo. Los muebles de calidad. Las camas muy cómodas. Estaba todo equipado. Desayunábamos y cenábamos todos los días ahí. Fue genial.
  Paseamos muchísimo. Fuimos al parque Güell, la Sagrada Familia, y muchos lugares más. Aunque no era verano, la temparatura genial y días fabulosos. Me encantó la ciudad. Recomiento éste apartamento por todo: ubicación, confort y amabidad del propietario.

  Me and five friends of mine stayed in this wonderful apartment for five days over new years eve and it was very cosy, big enough for six people and very cheap for this comfort! The location itself was central and in about five to ten minutes you can reach the ramblas!
  
  All in all, if I visit barcelona a second time I would book this apartment again!

  Very attentive liaison met us promptly at this accommodating two bedroom flat, was very easy to work with and full of great locals suggestions for dining and entertainment. The flat was located within an easy walk to metro and popular Barcelona central. Reasonably quiet street also provided cafes and grocery shopping. We didn't spend a lot of time in the flat - was comfortable. The bathroom could use a more thorough cleaning, but I'm a little bit obsessive.
