This incredible 250m2 house-style apartment in Barcelona is located in the Diagonal Mar area of the city, very close to the beach. Sleeping up to 8 people throughout its four bedrooms, it is a fantastic choice for a family or group of friends visiting the city.Beautifully decorated throughout, this apartment mixes traditional and modern designs, creating an air of elegance in every room. The main living area has comfortable seating, a large TV and it also opens out onto a spacious terrace. The terrace has wooden decking and its own seating area, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.The four bedrooms contain plenty of storage s...pace and there are two double beds and four single beds shared between them.The kitchen is modern and well equipped with all of the appliances and utensils you will need to prepare your home-cooked meals. You can also find several dining tables throughout the apartment, including a breakfast bar in the kitchen, a large wooden table on the second terrace, as well as a beautiful long table in the separate dining room itself.The apartment has three bathrooms, the main bathroom with a bathtub/shower. At the end of Avinguda Diagonal is the brand-new residential district of Diagonal Mar , located right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. This district is the newest addition to Barcelona, having been opened in 1999 and developed for the 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures. Here you will find the Diagonal Fòrum , a triangular building designed by architect José Mateo that defines the area's modernist feel. The Forum is surrounded by newly constructed skyscrapers, luxury apartments , and features two well-known parks offering a green haven just outside the city center. The Forum is home to a number of festivals and exhibits throughout the year, bringing new life and culture to the area. While the area is considered to be the most modern part of Barcelona , it still retains a traditional Spanish feel, with local restaurants and bars serving tapas, sangria, and paella .   Booked this apartment for 5 colleagues to attend a conference at the Ccib. Apartment is roughly 10mins walk from nearest metro with easy access into centre of town. Other positives: Quiet street, felt safe, beach within walking distance, beautiful apartment with top quality finish. Only negative: one of the double bedrooms lacked a wardrobe for hanging clothes- probably not relevant if sharing the apartment with family or friends. I was slightly apprehensive about paying for a large proportion of the balance in cash on the check in day, but in the end this wasn't a problem as the company managing the rental were very professional. Would book this apartment again.
