El Barri Gòtic , also known as the 'Gothic Quarter' is the heart of the old Barcelona city and the first part of the original Barcino, the ancient Roman city of Barcelona. El Barri Gòtic is located in the center of Barcelona, and with Las Ramblas on one side and Via Laietana on the other, its boundaries stretch all the way to the Mediterranean coast .
