La plaza de Cataluña es la más céntrica y grande de las plazas de Barcelona, hasta la remodelación de la Plaza de las Glorias Catalanas y la Plaza Europa que serán las Plazas más grandes de España. Tiene una superficie de aproximadamente 5 hectáreas y constituye el punto de unión entre el núcleo viejo de la ciudad y el ensanche. De aquí parten importantes vías de la ciudad como la Rambla, el paseo de Gracia, la rambla de Cataluña o las rondas de Universidad y de Sant Pere, y la calle Pelai, así como la avenida del Portal del Ángel, la gran arteria comercial de la ciudad, y antigua puerta de las murallas. Su ubicación es inmejorable ya que se puede ir andando a casi cualquier punto relevante de la ciudad: 5 minutos del Mercado de La Boquería, 5 minutos del MACBA y CCCB, 10 minutos a la Estatua de Colón y el Port Vell.

AsiaGood location but need some cleaning

Location is good - very central and safe area
The bathroom and master bedroom are very spacious - second bedroom is small but the apartment can fit 4 people comfortably.
There is a balcony in the living room which looks into back alleys facing other apartments which seem to be unoccupied so not attractive - also there are no window blinds/ shades to cover the balcony door.
The TV is very small and only spanish channels available. The carpet on the living room needs to be cleaned/ replaced - we felt itch / insect bitings on our legs after sitting on the sofa for short while.
The apartment is otherwise clean and in working condition. -

This is a small apartment, however it accomodates four persons well. Although it has a fully equipped kitchen we did not make use of it. It is ideally located in the heart of Barcelona very near Placa Catalunya and round the corner of the Ramblas. The common part of the apartment looks a little bit shabby, the lift is very small, and the main door needs some maintenance. However once you enter the apartment it is OK.
