Paseo de Gracia era la arteria principal de aquel nuevo Eixample (Ensanche) que nacía a partir de 1860, cuando se derribaron las murallas que ahogaban la antigua Barcelona. Siguiendo el plan Cerdà, el barrio se construyó con el dinero de las familias acomodadas de Barcelona. Los burgueses de la ciudad competían en refinamiento estético con la construcción de sus viviendas en edificios modernistas, de interiores y fachadas profusamente decoradas con los materiales más diversos. El Eixample Derecha se extiende desde la calle Balmes hasta el paseo de Sant Joan y calle de Nápoles. Está compuesto por varios de los principales lugares de interés de Barcelona como la Plaza de Cataluña, el Paseo de Gracia, con la Pedrera, la Casa Batlló, etc.

  Great location, but a few shortcomings

  The location is perfect: out of the tourist epicenter, but in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to metro and within walking distance of many of teh key sights. There are several supermarkets and casual cafes nearby.
  
  While the aprtment is clean, it is fairly simple, with one larger bedroom and 2 nice baths. The other 2 bedrooms, however, are tiny and without windows. The kitchen is only spottily equipped. There wer 5 mismatched drinking glasses, no wineglasses, and surprisingly, not even a can opener. We could not get the dishwasher to work, and the clothes dryer door would not shut. These are unacceptable in an apartment in the price range of this one. It was air conditioned, which luckily was working nicely.
  
  Check in was delayed when contact person was not responding and showed up 10 minutes late.

  Excellente situation. Appartement clair, sympa. Proche du métro arc de Triomphe. Wifi.
  Lave Vaisselle HS (pas cool pour les vacances !)
  Peu de vaiselle.
  Attention le parking n'est pas compris dans le prix !!!
