Spacious, modern, designed apartment enjoys an excellent location in the most exclusive part of Barcelona’s old town. The Borne district is home to the Picasso museum and has a great selection of stylish restaurants, bars and shops. This delightful corner of Barcelona has all the beauty of the Barri Gotic, with those characteristic narrow streets and quaint cafe-covered squares, but it just far enough removed from the beaten track to maintain a bit of calm, charm and dignity. Despite the popular tourist attractions of Palau de la Musica, Ciutadella Park (also home to Barcelona Zoo) and the recently opened Mammoth Museum, the area has maintained a high degree of local life and you won't be surrounded at every corner by English-speaking voices alone. We were both very happy with this apartment, and the service we received from the hosts. Good communications before travelling, and there was someone to speak to on arrival to meet us. A well renovated flat in a great location, lots going on and plenty to explore right outside the door (therefore some noise into the night, but earplugs solved that). Beach is a short stroll away, perfect.
