This apartment was advertised as 4* but is really a fairly basic 3*. Beautiful location but the walls and floor were scuffed and dirty and the furniture was old and grubby. The decor is in serious need of updating as well as the furniture. There were hairs left on the mattress protector.The music system was old and no selection of cds.There was a DVD player but no selection of Dvds. A small hob and no oven. A very secure, quiet and stunning building but this apartment is over priced and Friendlyrentals offer no customer service at all. A wonderful holiday in a great city but this was a disappointingly overpriced apartment badly run by an amateur agency - sorry to say, we felt ripped off - book a hotel.

This was a great deal for my stay in BCN last year...my wife and I stayed in Barcelona for 9 days, so we decided to rent an apt instead of doing a hotel. Great idea, it was not only less expensive (around us$100 / night), but gave us a much larger place with a kitchen to use.
This unit (Van Gough) was well located, it was actually waterfront with a view of the marina, a short walk from any part of the Born or Barri Gotic. Useful convenience stores were all around the building. Only ~10 min from the Metro.
The kitchen is useful because Barcelona has unbelievable markets in every neighborhood, so we could pick up food for breakfasts and snacks (I would never miss an opportunity to eat dinner out at one of Bcn's great restaurants, though).
Services through the rental agency were easy and smooth. -

We enjoyed the place near the barrio gothica near Barcelonette near plaza Catalunya, near the harbour. Very nice, the only minus point is the traffic you hear the whole day and night.

We loved the location & the great view of the old port from the big window.. Small but well designed, well equiped & very comfortable with good size bathroom & kitchen. Well organised check-in & good security & a lift.

The kitchen needs a few more pots (mostly) smaller ones. A couple doesn't need the big ones to cook.
Centrally located, walking distance from the old city and the beach.
On the weekend the street is quite noisy mostly the police, but everybody is having fun and enjoying the fun(understandable).
