Refurbished with style, yet preserving its original spirit, the Borne Deluxe Apartment's wood beams ceilings, exposed stone walls and large windows lay the foundation for a raw warm vibe. The rest is modern and streamlined granting the space a fresh edge.

It has been decorated with comfortable contemporary pieces. There is a cosy sofa bed, a dining table for four and for your leisure time there is a flat screen TV and Wi-Fi Service. The sleek kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might nee...d to prepare your meals: fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle and cupboards filled with pans, dishes and utensils.

The bedroom is airy and inviting, fitted out with a double bed, two night tables with reading lamps and a big closet. The large balcony window fills the room with natural light. What a nice place for a nightcap overlooking the old city!

The bathroom is fresh and appealing. Borne Deluxe one bedroom apartment stays true to the building’s origin - wonderful contrast between past and present. It's on the third floor and it can host up to three persons.

It certainly is a hallucinating adventure to stay in one of the narrow medieval streets of the Borne district. The Borne Apartment's extraordinary location, part of an intricate maze of small alleyways which has barely changed over the centuries, grants the captivating allure of the city.

The historic Borne has been vamped in recent years to become the trendiest district of Barcelona: chic fashion boutiques, art galleries, cool cocktail lounges, tapas' bars, café terraces, candlelit restaurants... Yet the ancient walls can't stop telling stories of a far away past.

This streets were named by the guilds which found them: the Mirallers street, those who worked glass; the Espartería street, those who made baskets; the Sombrerers Street of the hatmakers; Pescatería, where the apartment is located is where fish – pescado – used to be sold.

The imposing BasĂ­lica de Santa MarĂ­a del Mar, also known as the Cathedral of the Sea, is the jewel of the area. A few steps away, in a magnificent late Gothic palace, is the Picasso Museum which houses the painter's earliest work. And, if for whatever reason you might want to wander away from this fascinating area, there is a metro station close by: Sant Jaume (Line 4).
