In the heart of the Cascade Mountains 70 Minutes from Seattle, and Leavenworth on Stevens Pass Highway 2.. 23 minutes to the ski lifts. Most private of all Stevens Pass cabins we know about yet close to amenities. Great for honeymoon, weekend getaway, Ski and week long vacations. Full kitchen, fireplace, BBQ, private Hot Tub on deck overlooking the creek. Close to horeseback riding, whitewater rafting, fishing, bicycling and hiking.

We had a most wonderful stay at "A River Runs Through It" for my birthday. The location is great for a "base camp" while doing activities at or near Steven's Pass. The cabin is more of a studio with a loft and has a warm, inviting feeling with the cozy wool blankets, gas fireplace, and view of the creek. The cabin was quite chilly when we arrived but did heat up adequately over time. It's a great place for relaxing, making meals, using the hottub, and watching movies (has TV with both DVD/VHS, but bring your own movies). There are two beds, one downstairs and one in the loft. The downstairs is a set a bit close to the wall and would be best for shorter people and people who definitely want to be close and cozy. The loft requires climbing a narrow, steep ladder which was fine for us but might be difficult for older folks or anyone with mobility problems. It was a perfect size cabin for the two of us, but given that there is not a lot of privacy between the two "rooms", we probably wouldn't stay here with friends.

Our stay at a River Runs Through It was absolutely wonderful. The beauty of the river and surrounding woods forces you to relax and unplug from the outside world. We hiked around the cabin & along the river. Each step there was something beautiful to look at. The hot tub soaked away our aches and worries - it was clean & toasty. We even enjoyed it in the rain thanks to the umbrella we had in the car - what fun! The beds are both super comfy altho the one in the loft requires a climb up a ladder that is scarey for those with height issues - but it was totally worth the climb! If you are looking for a romantic getaway that is super private this is the place to go. We celebrated our 22nd anniversary and enjoyed every minute. Definitely going back!! Also don't forget to bring a black permanent marker to make your rock! We had to run into town since the ones there were dried out but it was such fun we didn't mind!

Honeymoon Salad- Just Let Us alone without any dressing! Total Peacefullness and tranquility to enjoy it with your love one, the Hot tub was to die for and the sounds made by the river was amazing and relaxing.

The first time we rented the cabin was on our honeymoon. A few years later, on our anniversary, we went back with our teenage children. Everyone had such a great time they wished we could have stayed longer.
Set in a wonderful little town, we were able to enjoy getting back to nature.
It was perfect for our honeymoon, and just as perfect with our teens.

We were married last October and went to a cabin in the woods in Montana, wish we would have known about The river runs through it when we picked a honeymoon spot! This wonderful place is so much better and it's only an hour or so from home! The hot tub on the deck, and fire pit, not to mention the cabin, all right on the river! The music from the river calms and relaxes. This fantastic weekend just extended the honeymoon and we'll be keeping it alive by coming back often! 7-23-11 Our first stop on our romantic weekend was in Pirates Cove - just outside of Shelton, Wa. We stayed in a caboose. Amazing night - hot tub under the stars and a beach full of starfish. Our second night landed us here - hidden away from the world. Breath taking view, the sound of the water has been relaxing. After a short time exploring we are off to Leavenworth, then home for a 6p.m. meeting! Ahh!! Lucky to have a wonderful husband!! ~ Jenni & Steve Olympia, Wa

We came back to our cabin in the woods by the creek for our third visit. We enjoyed a wonderful kid-free weekend. We had simple but delicious meals, we soaked in the hot tub, we spent the day on Saturday skiing, which led to more soaking in the hot tub. We relaxed, read, ate, drank - and repeated. This is always a great place to return to!
Our only regret was coming on the weekend of the switch to daylight savings time. This is not the place to be when the weekend is one hour shorter than usual!
We plan to return again. And again. And again.
