We enjoyed our stay at Peace Cottage very much indeed. The cottage was of a very high standard without exception. Tastefully furnished and decorated with a high standard of equipment. Everything was provided down to the smallest detail.
The area is perfect for days out with more places than you can fit into a week. Very varied attractions with museums, galleries and castles with attractive towns such as Barnard Castle and of course the city of Durham.
All in all, everything for a perfect holiday and we would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to visit again sometime. The lovely quiet location was just ideal.
Many thanks to the owners!

By far one of the most enjoyable places I have stayed and renting a cottage gives you the freedom to come and go as you please. The cottage itself was indeed very homely, immaculately clean and provisions included absolutely everything. A credit to its owner. Ideal for anyone just wanting a peaceful break. It must be said though that a car was necessary although I did spot a bus stop, and there's no nearby pub but apart from that I cannot fault this cottage. If its quiet and quaint you're after this ticks all the boxes!. Bravo.
