The holiday town of Barwon Heads is located on the southern coast of the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia and is a highly sought after seaside destination, offering a diverse variety of coastal attractions from the shallow and sandy shoreline of the Barwon River to the windswept surf beaches which front Bass Strait along 13th Beach Road. The Bluff Lookout, at Point Flinders, is situated on a rocky outcrop and a network of surrounding walking tracks provides views over the town centre, along the Barwon River and in all directions across Bass Strait.
The town has 3 world class golf courses, sailing, surfing and diving schools and a fabulous selection of trendy and classic cafes, restaurants and boutiques as well as a day spa.

I have long wanted to explore the Great Ocean Road and we were lucky enough to be recommended the White Beach House by a friend who had heard about it. It seemed like the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area of stunning coastline whilst also enjoying the local cafe culture of Barwon Heads. Pictures on websites can be misleading (we've learned from experience) and so, whilst our expectations were high we didn't imagine that the property could be quite as luxurious and spacious as the pictures would have you believe. And yet, if possible, the pictures don't do the property justice. It has been designed and furnished by someone with incredible taste and vision. With some (often more expensive) holiday lets one can feel as though the owners have held back in some aspects because the property is let. In this case it is the complete opposite. It's as if you are personal friends of the owners staying at their house and they have gone out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. At the end of a long day of exploring it was an absolute pleasure to return to the seclusion and luxury of The White Beach House - it is the beach house that I've always dreamt of owning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying for a long weekend at The White Beach House in Barwon Heads. The house is beautifully designed, extremely tastefully decorated and basically a gorgeous home. We felt very welcomed and at ease in the space. The beds are as comfortable as any five-star hotel and we felt like we were being pampered just by being there. It was an effortless, relaxing experience. The house is filled with beautiful light and very large, open spaces. It is such an expansive house and one that would be appropriate for a retreat with friends or family or as a couple's getaway. Even with a large group you would always feel a sense of privacy no matter where you are in the home. The kitchen is state of the art and the large living room with candles lit of an evening is a glorious place to be. It is also very centrally located near the Barwon Heads waterfront and shops. An absolutely stunning experience.

The White Beach house takes the concept of "beach house" to a new level. It is honestly among one of the most beautiful and peaceful houses I have ever stayed in. It is luxurious and ample without being ostentatious and seems to have been put together with real care, creativity and warmth. The perfect place to go to with a group of friends or family to genuinely relax and properly catch up. I loved this place and look forward to coming back soon. Thanks very much.

When we looked at Barwon Heads as an option we really struggled to find a house that met all of our needs. we were soo lucky to find the The White beach house as apart from its stunning furniture and multiple living spaces it accommodated us, our kids, parents and another family for some of our stay. The perfect holiday for kids where you dont need the car and you are close to everything. The decor is spectacular - you feel like you are in a postcard for a hotel!! We are definitely coming back again next year and have already booked. Perfect for a bigger group or indulgence for a small group..
