I was staying up the road and cycling with another company when i met some people who were staying with Liz and Ian. I extended my stay for another 5 days just so I could spend more time in this spectacular area while enjoying the fabulous offerings of Liz and Ian's B&B.; The rooms are wonderful, food is great and both Liz and Ian are better than perfect hosts. This is a definite must for cycling enthusiasts!

My boyfriend and I are not triathletes, but we had a fabulous stay with Ian and Liz ! They really made you feel at home and are so helpful. It is a bit far from the center of Bassano, but that's what makes it special and unique. The room was comfortable and had an amazing view. Ian and Liz know a lot about the area and its activities, and if they don't know something, they'll try to help you find the answer. If you have a car, you can visit some amazing little towns and vineyards in the region. Overall, our stay here was our favorite part of our whole trip through the Veneto, including Venice! Thanks Ian and Liz!

stayed with Ian and Liz this past June with friends from SC and Cal. We had a wonderful time. Their home was very nice and rooms were sizable and very clean. Ian and Liz were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. Rides were led by Ian and were fantastic. Best bike experience I've ever had.

It might seems strange to give 5 stars to each catagory, but in Ian and Liz's case this is just how good it is!
They are very friendly and helpful, Ian knows all the good routes and is a great group ride leader.
And after a long hard ride in the mountains or a swim in a mountain lake, you can come home to one of Liz's amazing homecooked meals!
The rooms are very well prices and very very clean.
I can highly recommend coming here, it is a holiday you will not soon forget. -

Incredible. Some of the best riding in the planet, topped of by excellent and fun hosts. I don't know which was more memorable: the 18 switch backs down Fosa (forget going up it, down is the only way to do that loop ;-) ), the 3000 person descent off Grappa after the stage of the Giro D'Italia or the unknown distance climbs ("How long's this climb?" "Dunno. 5K? 7K? Not sure, really..." "There's a statue of St George just around the corner..."). Or the pack handling skills in the middle of a pack of sheep!
A priceless experience. Thank you. -

GatesheadThe Perfect Cycling Experience
Left on 02/14/2011 for a stay in August 2010
Italy is one of the best places in the world to ride a bicycle, and Benemax is the perfect location to do so. From being met by Ian at the airport, the seamless transfer to Benemax Multisport base in Campolongo and the friendly greetings from Liz, you are made to feel at home.
The riverside location is perfect with cycling routes for all levels of experience available from the doorstep. The accomodation is spacious with beatiful bedrooms, visitors lounge, traditional kitchen and huge basement garage(all important for that bike gear).
Within striking distance of the lovely Bassano and pretty Valstagna, and a short train journey into Venice, you are perfectly situated to explore this part of Italy. with plenty to do apart from cycling if you wish, from White water rafting to trekking to skiing depending on the season.
Fine and traditional food is found at local restaurants, more importantly though, home cooked traditional fare is always on hand courtesy of Liz's skills in the kitchen.
All round, Benemax Multisport Italia and Ian and Liz cannot be faulted, and like me. one visit will lead to many more -

The valley of the Brenta River is a lovely area and I'm sure it's filled with very nice B&B;'s, but there are two things that make Benemax Multisport stand out... they are Ian and Liz, the proprietors.
Let's begin with Ian. Gracious host, wonderful sense of humor and great guide on our many bicycle rides. Oh, and a fabulous hand with his espresso machine. Then there's Liz... again, gracious hostess, wonderful sense of humor and can't seem to stop herself from spoiling her guests, especially with her wonderful cooking. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I felt as though we had been their friends for years. These are fun people.
On other fronts, the place was spotless. It's conveniently located just outside Bassanno Del Grappa so it's easy to get to. Plus, the area is loaded with wonderful things to see... charming towns like Marostica, Asolo and Citt? Della. You can tour fabulous Palladian villas and churches adorned with beautiful sculpture and painting. And, don't get me started on the food!
Benemax is the only B&B; I've run across that specializes in sports. I'm a cyclist, so Ian accompanied me on some wonderful rides. If you're into kayaking or hiking or hang gliding (the region is said to be the best hang gliding spot in Europe) Ian and Liz will either go with you or hook you up with the right people for that sport.
But all this is more than talk. I've already made a reservation to go back for two weeks this summer. -

DurhamWhat a place!

Firstly, you don't need to be concerned about hospitality, Ian & Liz are fantastic hosts. Everything from cleanliness, service, facilities and most importantly Liz's cooking, are nothing short of excellent. Everything is catered for, whether you've been out cycling, hiking or touring all day the after ride 'snacks' we had were full on homemade meals, made from local seasonal produce.
But the most important thing is the area. Situated at the foot of mount Grappa and on the riverside you couldnt ask for more. If you want some training time on your bike then you are spoilt for choice of routes to the war memorial and cafe situated at the top of Grappa, with climbs ranging from 10k to 26k. If you want to go further a field then I would advise to use Ian's knowledge of the region as there are some great towns and villages with many different climbs and flats with amazing secenary.
What this place has really got going for it, is the fact it is situated in a small village with some great little restaurants and is only a few mile from the city of Bassano if you want something a little more lively. -

Left on 07/29/2010 for a stay in March 2010
I found out about this place through word of mouth and it certainly didnt disappoint, as with most things which are recommended by friends or family.
Liz and Ian were great hosts and very welcoming, really going out of their way to make me feel at home whilst helping me out with basics of Italian so that I survive in the area!
The B&B; itself is very spacious and well equipped. The food itself, delicious!
The location is fantastic. The views are stunning with the B&B; overlooking a river which runs all the way down to the Med sea. The area itself is not very touristy, so you can expect a truly authentic Italian experience.
I went out in May and caught the Giro D'Italia which was quite something. I would highly recommend it! The views are absolutely stunning.
Highly recommended. Cheap flights from Stansted (I think I piad £70 return) make it easily accessible. Can't wait to go again.
