Description from the owner
Chateau de Courtomer is a wonderful place to get away from it all. But while we enjoy the privacy of being in the midst of 370 acres of our own park and farmland, we are only 10-minutes walk from village and its shops and services. Courtomer is less than 2 hours from the D-Day landing beaches, the resort town of Deauville, Mont St-Michel, Le Mans and hundreds of historic chateaux, churches, abbeys, and gorgeous gardens. Paris is accessible by train or in 2 1/2 hours by car.

Château de Courtomer - Luxury vacation in Normandy
Basse-Normandie, Normandy, France
Additional Location Information
The chateau is equally welcoming and appropriate for family and friend gatherings and retreats and can accommodate groups of up to 15 comfortably, as well as more intimate gatherings. All bedrooms -- with twin, double, or king-size beds -- have en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with a walk-in shower.
In addition to the chateau, the Orangerie provides space for cocktail parties and professional seminars. With a reception tent, the park and grounds of the château can be an astounding venue for your wedding dinner.
There are also outdoor games, bicycles for exploring the countryside or for indispensable runs to the village of Courtomer. And for relaxing indoors, a billiard and a ping-pong table.
To give you some ideas about what to do near Courtomer, you can bike in the Parc Naturel du Perche, ride horses, play tennis or golf very near the Chateau. Paris is a 2 1/2 hour-drive from the Chateau, and you can organise a one-day visit, go to the Louvre museum, shop on the Champs Elysées, climb up the Eiffel Tower, etc. You can go to Deauville, Trouville, Rouen, visit the D-day beaches, go for a pilgrimage to Lisieux, admire the famous Bayeux tapestry, spend a day at the exceptional Mont-Saint-Michel. If you are a big French history fan, you need to go visit the different Chateaux of the Loire Valley: Chenonceau, Chambord, Azay-le-Rideau and the medieval town of Tours, all around 100 miles away from the Chateau.
