This terraced barn conversion near Bassenthwaite sleeps seven people in three bedrooms. Uldale is a Grade II listed barn conversion in a small group near the village of Bassenthwaite. The cottage has a four poster double, and a room with three singles on the ground floor, along with a shower room and utility. Upstairs is a double room with en-suite, and the open plan living area with wonderful views across to Skiddaw. Outside is ample off road parking, a shared games room and shared grounds with furniture and a children's play area. Uldale is a welcoming family base for enjoying walking, climbing, watersports and stunning scenery.

Town: Situated just a short distance to the north east of Bassenthwaite Lake is the attractive village of Bassenthwaite itself. This charming settlement retains its traditional, rural feel and boasts a stream which winds through the outskirts of the village in addition to whitewashed Lakeland cottages, a well-maintained green and a real ale inn, full of character. Bassenthwaite Lake offers rolling hillside scenery and remains one of the most picturesque places in England. Points of interest nearby include Mirehouse - a grand home and gardens on the shores of the Lake - Trotters Farm, and Dodd Wood. Most of the attractions of the wider region are within easy driving distance whilst the quieter Northern Fells are almost on the doorstep. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Due to all sorts of reasons we left booking a cottage to the last minute...crazy, bearing in mind that it was coming up to the bank holiday weekend! We came across this cottage and though we could only get 3 nights as they were fully booked up it was well worth it! The rooms were spacious with the added bonus of the upstairs room having an ensuite, the two downstairs rooms shared a bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the sitting room area was spacious and homely. Plenty of books and brochures for everyone to plan what to do. Upon arrival there was some eggs, milk and a cake to welcome us...a very nice touch! It was a quiet and lovely place to start our holiday in the lake district with...watch out for the man eating squirrels and free range children :)
