Myself and my partner chose to spend Easter weekend at The Studio and we couldn't of had a more wonderful stay. The place itself is beautifully decorated and everything about it feels really homely. We particularly loved the fact Sally had included little touches like a fully stocked biscuit tin and fresh eggs from their own chickens which were absolutely delicious. We also found the bed to be super comfortable, so slept well, which i always think its really important when you go away. The location of the studio is great, as it's a short walk from two local pubs, one of which we visited called The Fox and couldn't recommend highly enough. We went in without a reservation and even though the land lady explained they had been so busy they had had to turned several people away (it's a good idea to book!) they very kindly let us sit at the bar to eat. We both ordered roast dinners (that were so huge they came out on bread boards!) which were amazing and had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in there, enjoying the fantastic ales and atmosphere. We travelled to the studio from London by car, but decided to travel into Bath using public transport on the Saturday so my partner could drink. It was actually a lot easier then we thought, taking the bus from opposite the garage across the green (about a 5 min walk) to Bradford Upon avon and from there taking the train in Bath, which takes about 10-15 mins. We dined in two fantastic restaurants in Bath, The Circus Cafe and Restaurant, which served possibly the best chocolate mousse i've ever had and La Perla, an amazing tapas restaurant, i couldn't rate highly enough. All in all we had a brilliant stay and look forward to returning again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Studio with our 19-month old daughter. The point of our trip was not to do much so we stayed local on the Friday and the peaceful location was just what we needed; I can recommend the pub on the green, the food was lovely with a nice big garden. We had pre-booked a visit to Longleat for the Saturday which was about 40 minutes away and came home on Sunday morning. I wish we had had a chance to see the animals but the rain got in the way. The Studio was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was fine with our daughter for a couple of nights, but I don't think a longer stay would have worked with a young child as you are all in one room. My only negative would be that the bed was very squeaky and hard and so we did not find it very comfortable; but a minor detail that did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

Thankyou very much for your comments. I have now got a new sprung divan base which will hopefully alleviate the squeaky noise and not be so hard. On close inspection the old one had started to sag where the drawers are and was not sprung so therefore a lot harder. I now await the next guests comments to see if there is improvement.

Stayed for a 2 night short break - originally planned to stay in central bath and found this by chance. Much better option in the end - bed and breakfast but with the freedom of self catering. The flat is lovely with everything well planned and provided for. Breakfast was croissants, toast, eggs, juice, fruit (with the freedom to eat it in bed if you wanted) location was great, just off the village green but easy walk to two local pubs. Great find and would highly recommend to anybody wanting a relaxing break but with great access to surrounding countryside (on the doorstep) and towns within 20 minutes

Had a lovely relaxing stay - the studio was very comfortable in a very peaceful and quiet area and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast with some lovely free range eggs from the back yard chooks! Great host, Sally, was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed to know and gave us some good advice on places to visit. We only stayed two nights but would have loved to have stayed longer.

When we just arrived to the house, we were impressed by the facade of the house, the studio was fantastic litle refurbished barn next to the house, our children were very excited to see the garden in front, the cat walking around... the pub a few hundred yards across the common, all fantastic and finally the weather was fantastic that weekend.

We stayed for 3 nights in this b&b.; Will definitely stay longer next time. Cosy comfortable accommodation with breakfast supplied. Superb firm bed, slept like a log! So close to Bath, Cotswolds and beautiful Stourhead. Ideal access across the green to The Bell pub. Thanks to Sally and Gus for their warm welcome and hospitality.

We had the opportunity to spend a night at Sally's lil' studio and had the most wonderful time! She's a great host, providing not only comfortable accommodations and some breakfast food but also a chance to see fat and friendly farm animals :)

We have stayed in the Studio twice. The studio is a great location, clean, spacious,good value, comfortable and cosy. I like the flexibility of being able to cater for yourself. So much easier with small children.

We stayed at the studio for a 3 night break over Christmas and it was everything we had wished for.
The studio was warm and cozy and was furnished with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The views over the common were lovely and the owner was friendly and helpful and had even supplied a small Christmas tree and some nice lights around the bed which was a lovely touch.
If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to stay, with lovely surrounding countryside, nice walks and interesting places to visit nearby then look no further.
Living in a city with all of the noise and stress that comes with that made us appreciate the studio and it's surrounding area all the more. To wake up in the morning to the sound of birds singing and not hear traffic or people shouting was sheer bliss!
We would certainly recommend a visit to nearby Lacock which we found very charming and picturesque.

We've stayed at the Studio twice and have booked for next year. The Studio is ideal for us, being self contained with everything you need, in a lovely peaceful setting but within easy reach of Bath. Our host makes us feel very welcome and is only too happy to help with anything we need. Highly recommended

Being rather fussy we found on arrival a well planned studio with all the essential modern day requirments just as in the photos. Sally greeted us and provided us with a goody bag of fruit, continental breakfast, milk and orange juice, what a warm and thoughful welcome to our break away from the rat race. The studio is situated in a very peaceful village where although we were strangers everyone greeted us and made us welcome, how friendly. An excellent base for plenty of walks, National Trust properties, canal walks, and more, the city of Bath now has a park and ride so our advise is to use that as much cheaper and less stressfull. Would we return to the studio? we have booked two visits next year already so that says enough I think. Thankyou Sally, Steve and Elizabeth
