DevonA great little find at a bargain price
Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013
A lovely clean, immaculate, airy and modern house, which was more than adequate for the 7 of us who stayed for a weekend in april. The communication with Tony was very easy and quick and we were able to pick up the keys very conveniently.
The bus stop outside was great and took you straight to the bus station in the centre of Bath, although it was quite an expensive bus journey so we got a taxi back which was much cheaper!
Thank you! -

Tony was a truly good host, everything was made simple and smooth from the time we booked the place until our departure. We didn't need much help after we arrived as everything we needed was provided and nicely laid out.
The property was extremely clean and pleasant, the King-size bed very, very comfortable. There was no problem with car parking which is a definite plus. The shops are close by and we could everything at the nearby Sainsbury's.
We would like to come back if we are ever around Bath area again!

Bath is a lovely place to visit and Marina Villas was the perfect place for us to stay. Warm and comfortable place with facilities more than adequate for our needs. There were 7 of us staying for 4 nights. Excellent value. Would definitely use it again if returning to area. Very good bus services into Bath, especially for those with bus passes. Local shops within walking distance had everything we needed.

Had a quick stay while I hunted for a permanent flat & this place was exactly what I needed. Clean & quiet despite being on a very busy street. Backyard was perfect for my little dogs. Sainsbury's about five minutes away by foot. Not luxurious by any means but perfect place to crash.

Left on 02/28/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed at Marina Villas over Christmas. The welcome from Tony and Theresa was lovely. Tony showed us around the house and explained all we needed to know. The house was homely, very clean, very well equipped and the bedrooms really roomy and comfortable. It had all we needed for a great family Christmas. It is also perfectly situated for the Park and Ride into Bath City Centre relieving the problem of having to park in the city centre. We would definitely stay again.

A friendly welcome from Tony, we soon settled in as if we were at home.
The house was spotlessly clean! The bed lovely and confy and the shower nice and hot.
The location was near to local shops to pick up food in the evening and had an handy superstore nearby ideal to pick up all you need.
It was a short drive (5-10 min) to the center of Bath city.
All the facilities you might need and more where there, making everyday tasks easy just as if you were at home.
A great place to stay. -

Arrived in the snow to a very warm house and welcome. Tony was very helpful and explained the house and locality to us and where the local transport was. We were five middle aged ladies who thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bath and would certainly recommend the Marina Villas to anyone.

I hosted a hen party at the property in January. All the guests were impressed at the quality and the price of the property. It was spacious, had all the bits and pieces we needed and was convinient for Bath. Event with taxis in and out of Bath it was miles cheaper than anywhere else and really made the weekend.
Would definitely come back!

BirminghamA home away from home!
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I booked Marina Villas for a September weekend get away in January 2012! I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday with my extended family which was 7 of us plus my toddler. Tony was very prompt in his replies to my emails and answered all questions that I had. I was more concerned about my daughter and whether she would have enough space to sleep between my husband and I! Tony informed me that this would be no problem.
Nearer the time I was unable to leave work early on Friday to get to Bath so I told my parents to go ahead. I informed Tony and he accommodated my parents and made them feel at ease in the Villas.
The house was in perfect condition. There is a washing machine, microwave, gas cooker, central heating and hair dryer! There are a selection of books and Dvds and plenty of information at hand about Bath. We found Marina Villas to be extremely clean from kitchen to bathroom. Tony even told my parents to let him know if there was anything we needed.
The beds were extremely comfortable!! The water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Plenty of cutlery and crockery available.
Parking was not a problem. There is a secure garage behind the house with parking space in front of the garage.
The location of the house was just right for us. You can walk to the centre but with our little one we chose to drive. There is a petrol station very near to the house and nearby shops.
It was definitely a home away from home. The whole family were very happy with my choice of accommodation and everyone felt comfortable and at ease. -

This will be the best accommodation I have rent throughout my holidays. The house is equipped with all the amenities you will need (as if it is your home). Really feel comfortable when Mr. Tony invited us into his house. The house is not hard to find although I missed it and called Mr. Tony for help to locate his house (which is right beside a Texaco petrol station). So for anyone who are driving, this place will be a perfect spot as you will have a place to park your car and a petrol station is right beside the house. As for Mr. Tony and Mrs. Theresa, they are a very friendly and will try and help in anyway possible. Too bad we only stayed for a night but will definitely go there again when possible.

What a great place to stay for a great price. Everything was clean and tidy. The place was very nicely furnished. There was loads of space for me & my husband my 19 & 13 yr old sons and my Dad. The garden was lovely and i have been out and brought some anenome plants to try to copy the ones in the garden. Tony and Theresa were very helpful.Although the pale colours are very bright and airy and looked great they were my only concern as my 13 yr old is autistic and often sticky but fortunately no mishaps. I and my family would highly recommend this lovely house.

Left on 09/08/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We arrived in Bath after a 30 hour flight from New Zealand with our 2 kids ages 13 and 10. It was a pleasure to find the house exactly as advertised. Tony met us and was a welcoming host. We had the odd question during our stay and he was readily available living next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had a hire car so the distance from the centre of town was not a problem and there is off street parking available. We took advatage of the kitchen and cooked a few simple meals to help keep costs down on our family holiday. The small Tescos on the road up to the house was most convenient and reasonably priced. We used the washing machine and had no problems drying washing in front of the lovely radiators that were keeping the house warm. Overall, a great stay at a great price.

Our Daughter who lives in Bath got married at the Guildhall in august. We rented Marina Vilas for five days so we had a base and somewhere for our Daughter to get ready and leave from. It was very clean and comfortable we even took out cat with us as all friends and neighbours who would usually feed her while we are away were at the wedding. The owners who live next door were very helpful as the day before and the morning of the wedding was very wet and there are lots of shrubs in the front garden and our Daughters dress would have got wet walking pass them so the owner covered them all up and even dug out some and cut back others. Would stay again and would highly reccomened it to others.

The "hosts" Tony and Theresa have been very accommodating when we arrived in the poring rain 2 hours too early - they took pity on us and let us into the house.
The house was very clean and very well equipped with everything we could ask for in the kitchen and bathroom & shower room.
We used the Park&Ride; service into Bath which is just up the road from the house - very easy and convenient when it's raining!
It was a pleasure to stay and we would recommend it to all our friends and relations if they ever wanted to stay in Bath. If and when we return we would hope to find room in this Inn again :-). -

We only stayed 2 nights in this home but would love to have been able to stay longer. Beautifully set out home with everything we needed to make our time there so good. We had a place to park our car which was so good and made packing and unpacking so easy. Shops were close by and a park and ride into Bath meant that we could leave the car at home. Tony and Theresa were great and helped us to settle in very easily. There were books and Dvd's for nighttime relaxation as well.

Second time I've stayed here with a group of girlfriends from university for a weekend reunion. Don't think we'd ever bother looking for anywhere else in Bath ever again - we've really struck gold in finding Marina Villas. Luxuriously clean and comfortable with a proper home-from-home feel about it (except much tidier and cleaner than my house!)
Dont be put off by it being slightly out of city centre - taxi into town costs less than £10 or (I discovered this time) a one way bus trip from city centre bus station which drops you yards from front door is just £2.35.
I really can't recommend this place highly enough. As a group we will base our next Bath weekend away around availability of this property rather than ever look elsewhere. -

Sorry this is so late Tony but we travelled to the UK last year and Marina Villa was our first stop on our 7 week holiday of a lifetime. We were very comfortable in this lovely home, we loved the comfortable beds especially, we slept alot because we had terrible jet lag! The house was well situated with a pub serving meals down the road and a supermarket not much further away. We did walk into town once all down hill but all uphill back of course! We really loved Marina Villas and fondly remember it now we are home, the facilities were top notch, internet access was great for the emails home, kitchen was awesome! Fantastic sightseeing all around Bath, particularly Harry Potter related things eg Laycock abbey. We really loved staying at Marina Villas, Tony was very caring and helpful during our stay, all in all a very memorable and happy stay! Would reccomend this accomodation to every one! Even better than the pictures!

A lovely clean holiday home. Very well presented and cosy.
Ample utensils in the kitchen which is well appointed. The dining room/sitting room is nice and relaxed and a great place to chat over a meal or unwind at the end of a busy day exploring the many delights Bath has to offer. There is a bus stop right outside if you are not using a car and regular buses into the city which is only 10 minutes away by bus. Good location. Ideal for a small group of ladies on a spa/shopping/sightseeing break! Would also suit a family. Definately would recommend this place to anyone wanting a break in Bath. The owners Tony and Teresa are friendly and helpful. Would I come again...Yes! -

We came here for a Christmas break with our 3 children all under the age of 5. It was a lovely, warm and clean house with everything we needed for a week away and good value for a week away over Christmas too! The laminate flooring was a bonus with small children. There was a great little park not far away where the children could ride their scooters, a supermarket within walking distance and a bus stop pretty much outside the door. We did actually walk into the centre of Bath one day, but it was quite a walk and we got the bus back home. Tony & Theresa were lovely and posted back our dvd that we accidentally left in the dvd player.. Would highly reccommend.

Tony was very friendly, helpful, and accessible. The location is good, insofar as near bus-stop, groceries, and pub. The house was in very good condition, with most amenities one could need (Bodum, teapot, microwave, kettle, even DVD and Wifi). House too warm, especially at night, which made sleeping uncomfortable; and fire alarm by kitchen too sensitive, so went off frequently. We had full house (7 people - 4 adults & 3 children), which was manageable for space, but the crockery/cutlery/glassware was not enough for this many. Overall pleased, and would return and recommend.

A well equipped house, simply furnished with everything we needed for an extended family stay, with a baby and assorted adults. We needed somewhere close to the centre as we were attending our daughter's wedding. Not walking distance, but an easy taxi ride to the centre. Facilities in the house are excellent and the owner lives next door and was most helpful in lending additional cookware etc. Parking is around the corner and worked well. Sainsbury supermarket 5 mins walk away. Altogether added to a fantastic weekend!

We stayed at Marina Villas for a weekend at the beginning of October (Fri 7 Oct - Sun 9 Oct) and thought the place was perfect.
The house was lovely and it was absolutely ideal for us for the weekend - clean, warm, very comfortable and incredibly good value - exactly right for a group of mid30s women wanting to get break from our kids and catch up on the gossip of the past couple of decades!
It was much much better than staying in a hotel, as we could relax and just chill out, with no timings or other routines.

ColchesterFamily holiday in Bath
Left on 05/05/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We travelled to Bath for a family wedding- my husband, myself, our two children (ages 4 and 2) and my parents. Marina Villas was perfect for us it was clean and very comfortable (probably the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in on holiday), simply furnished but well equiped. So many holiday rentals in Bath are grand townhouses and not the kind of accomodation that i would brave with two lively children. Marina Villas is ideal for familys with children. Tony and Theresa were friendly and very helpful from the first email and included lots of little unexpected extras like dishwasher tablets and liquid hand soap. The house is on Wellsway- quite a busy road but there was parking in neighbouring Oolite road with an allocated parking space for one large car and a garage that could accomodate a small to medium sized car. While the location isn't in the centre of Bath the house is on a good bus route with regular buses ( an adult return cost under £4) and bus stops very close by. I believe you could walk into Bath in under 30 minutes (downhill on the way in but quite a steep uphill walk back!) .The area is ok with a good local Co-op and a larger Sainsburys both within walking distance. We chose not to eat at the local pub The Sizzling but the Fish and Chip shop was good. The garden is very small but pretty and there is a large public grassed park across the road where the children could run off some energy. Victoria Gardens ( near the Royal Cresent) had an excellent childrens park where we could have stayed all day and the Botanical garden was lovely. Marina Villas was well situated to visit Wookie Hole and Bristol Zoo (both great days out) without having to get caught up in the awful traffic that Bath suffers so in fact it was perfectly located. We can also recommend the village of Bathampton where you can walk along the canal (lots of cute ducklings and canal boats) and a good meal at the George pub. We will definitely use Marina Villas again.

Left on 03/08/2011 for a stay in March 2011
From the moment we arrived to our departure,we had a great stay!! There were five of us staying as part of a hen do. Tony and Theresa were so welcoming, even putting classic fm and air fresheners (not that they were needed!!) on ready for our arrival!!.
Parking: Use of the garage and the off road parking was a big bonus for us.
Location: The location is great for Bath - about a ten minute drive (you could walk it - but it's down a really long hill, so I'd recommend getting a cab or bus, especially for the way home!!). It's approx £7 in a four seater cab or £12 in a six seater. Alternatively, it's directly on the bus route onto town - although we didn't really use this as it worked out cheaper for our group to get a cab.
Decor: The house is really nicely decorated, much better than the standard that these properties are usually decorated. Laminate flooring in lounge & dining room. Cream carpets & neutral decor throughout. As other reviews have said - I'd definately agree that the beds were really comfortable!!
Cleanliness: absolutely faultless, the place was imaculate!
Facilities: The house is fully equipped, has a cooker & grill, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher. There was also more than enough glasses, plates and cooking utensils for the five of us. There's also wi-fi (although I can't comment on it as we didn't use it) and a virgin box with the TV - really useful for more channels and radio.
Value for Money: Amazing!!
Overall, I would definately stay here next time I go to Bath, and recommend it to any of my friends and family - what a find!! -

The house was warm, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The beds are really comfortable with great thick duvets on them. Parking is a bit of a nightmare during the day but fine if you only have one car, or if one of the cars is smallish (ie not a Volvo V70 with roof box). Would recommend this wholeheartedly and would certainly go back if we could persuade the Truro contingent that it's much easier to get to than she thinks...

Very grateful for the generous review.Just to clarify on the parking situation- there is garage and a off street parking space in front of the garage Unfortunately the guest's car was unable to use the garage because of the car's roof box. There is also unrestricted parking in a side street 10 metres from the house which admittedly was very busy on that particular weekend.

My wife and two friends stayed in Marina Villas for a long weekend in Bath to attend a rugby match and explore the town. The Villa is roomy and very comfortable and Tony made us extremely welcome. Although a little distance from the centre of town the Villa is easily accessible to public transport and cab links. Great place.

Marina Villas is an extremely comfortable house that is equipped to a very high standard and specification. For example, the comfort provided by the beds was outstanding; so much so that we lifted the valence to write down the makers name! What is also impressive is the careful attention given to detail. Absolutely everything that we needed was provided.and it was of quality. The accommodation is meticulously clean and it is spacious with plenty of room for seven people which made it very good value for money. The location is very central for visiting this beautiful part of the country, with ample parking space provided when you return to the house. We had a wonderful time and we will be back!

We stayed at Marina Villas for 2 nights on a girly weekend. Couldn't fault this property. It was spacious and very clean with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Have already recommended to a friend.
