      What a find

Left on 08/14/2012 for a stay in August 2012

What a wonderful place to stay, Michael and Jackie are perfect hosts. The barn is modern and was spacious enough for a family of 4. A big thank you to Michael who made our 6 year old son's holiday taking him off to feed the animals was the highlight of his stay.

The open space around the barn was brilliant and felt so safe, we will definitely be back, a fantastic place.

Self Catering in a superb location. Ideal for sole travellers.

Left on 07/17/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The location is superb - very peaceful, surrounded by countryside and country animals. The barn has everything you need for self catering, it is spacious, well-equipped and very clean. The welcome food pack was very generous indeed with the added delicious bonus of freshly laid eggs from the owner's hens. The hosts were welcoming and were keen to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Ideal place to stay if you are travelling on your own.

      A terrific find

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in May 2012

My husband and I visited Chantlers Barn at the beginning of May, visiting UK from the us. Michael and Jackie gave us a very warm welcom, all the basic self-catering necessities were waiting for us. The barn is modern, clean and comfortable. Setting is beautiful and location is handy for visiting Sussex and Kent. Would certainly stay there again on a return visit to the UK.

      East Sussex at its best,

Left on 08/27/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Chantlers Barn provides a very comfortable, clean and peaceful place to stay in East Sussex, with Battle close by and all the attractions of the coast and country within a short traveling distance. The 1066 walking trail is at the end of the lane for wonderful rambles across open fields with scenic views in one direction, in the opposite way horse riding tracks through woods and pastures going into Catsfield Village where there is a good pub for meals and a general store. East Sussex has a lot to do and see.

At Chantlers they have thier own chickens giving lovely free range eggs, pigs with little piglets down the far end field and a couple of cowsand plenty of green open space to enjoy. We loved it there and will be returning. Fellow Guests staying in the Chantlers B&B; said the breakfasts were delicious with lots of variety. Jackie & Michael were most welcoming and friendly making us feel really at home. The barn was the best self catering accomodation we have ever stayed in, very well equiped kitchen and the welcome food pack was excellent. Do go to Chantlers Barn you won't be dissapointed it really is Sussex at its best!

      Idyllic, peaceful retreat

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in August 2011

Just a couple of miles outside of the historic town of Battle. This newly refurbished barn, was an absolute gem of a find. Close to coast, there is plenty to do in the area including visiting Battle abbey just 5 minutes down the road. A 20 minute drive takes you into Eastbourne, a lovely old coastal town with miles of beaches. However the best part of our trip was the warm welcome we received from our hosts and the opportunity to sit out in the large courtyard style patio watching the sun go down. Money can't buy that level of tranquility! We will most definitely be back soon!
