Located on the main Island of Mahe's Northern Coast just a few minutes walk from the famous Beau Vallon beach where there are watersports activities - Jet Ski rental, water skiing, Paragliding. Big Game and Deep Sea Fishing or boating excursions can be organise direct with your host "Gerry" on site - dive centers are within walking distance - there are several shops,supermarkets, restaurants, pizzerias, take-aways.

How lucky we were to find the Sunglow villa on the internet. From the start to finish it was just wonderful. Gerry and his beautiful wife Chinat and family were the perfect hosts. It was a pleasure to stay there and enjoy their hospitality. For our stay in the Seychelles we wanted something that was special and to get to know the people and the way of life on the island - We certainly picked the right place. Gerry met us at the airport and drove us to the villa and as it was late at night Chinat had prepared for us a beautiful fresh fish dinner. For tired and hungry people what a bonus! This was the start of some exceptional service. The villa itself was roomy and pleasant with a lovely outlook over the tropical vegetation and ocean views from the top balcony. A short walk to the best beach on the island and all in all we were in heaven! The boat charter which Gerrys boys took us on was great and the island beach BBQ fantastic. The snorkelling in the Marine Park was just superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. I would be nice to still be there! Hopefully our photos will be ready soon.

This is a lovely home! Better yet, are your wonderful hosts! Gerry & Chianat, were the best! I arrived on my birthday; and bless her heart, she baked me a cake! Not to mention a wonderful cocktail or two & bbq of daily cath, and fine Thai dishes too! I could go on and on, but I won't. I felt like I left family :(.
The Villa is immaculate, and fully stocked, and fresh squeezed lemon juice awaits you, from the tree in the front yard.
If you wish to fish, snorkel, or cruise the island, Gerry can accommodate you personally. If you wish other accommodation, he knows everyone :)

As our daughter is working in the Seychelles this year, we decided to take advantage of the situation and come for a holiday. Our son, who is a keen diver, decided to join us. The 3 of us stayed at Sun Glow while our daughter was working on Silhouette and in Victoria. We had looked briefly at the 5 star hotels but only to confirm that the prices were prohibitive! If you like to sit by the pool all day and have no wish to see outside the hotel you might like the resorts, although I don't see why anyone would travel so far for an experience they could get much closer to home!
For me this villa really was a much better option. Not only do you have a whole spacious house with every possible amenity, you also get to know Gerry and Chainat. On our arrival at the airport, early Sunday morning, Gerry was there to meet us as arranged, and when we arrived at the villa Chainat had breakfast waiting for us! There was also bread, milk and home-made lemonade in the refrigerator and lemons, starfruit and a pomelo in the fruit tray. A few days later we were given a bunch of the small bananas - the best flavoured bananas I have ever eaten.
We found out very quickly that taxis are very expensive, and Gerry helped us to arrange a hire car which was brought to the house the next day. With our daughter in Victoria, our son going diving, shopping for food and eating out, the car really made things much easier. On our last night Gerry and Chainat arranged a barbecue in the garden, and we had a lovely evening with delicious food and enjoyable company.
I regret that we only stayed for 5 days. I felt so comfortable, I would cheerfully have stayed a month! Gerry and Chainat are very considerate people and really enjoy having visitors. They are always willing to help, but are not in any way intrusive. Take their advice about where to eat out, and take advantage of Chainat's cooking!

We stayed with Gerry and his family at the end of February , and it was everything we hoped for , a comfortable villa to stay in in a beautiful environment.
From the pickup at the airport , the help with settling in , the wonderful boat trip to the island with Billy and Mark to the Creole/Thai braai on our last evening ,everything was handled friendly and professionally .

We (a family with two kids aged 7 and 3) stayed in Sunglow villa mid Feb 2013 for a week and had a great time. The house is very nice, spacious, modern and with everything you could need (including small extras like drinks and food). The owners live in the house next door and are great, very friendly and couldn't do more to help. The beach in Beau Vallon is very nice and we kept coming back there even though we had a car and a choice of beaches around the rest of the island. I would recommend this villa

Recommended location for a wonderful vacation in direct contact with real Seychellois who do anything to make you happy. Germain is outstanding with his humor, stories, and Chinese cooking. It is perfection.
Visit Germain and to China at Sunglow at the Seychelles you will not regret it.

My husband and I had booked a "5-star" resorts on Mahé for our trip. We're never excited about these island resorts because they end up being tropical paradise prisons. You're held hostage to the overpriced buffets, you never interact with the local culture and people, and you're on holiday with people you just flew thousands of miles to get away from.
An email from Gerry changed all that and gave us a glimpse of the true beauty of the Seychelles. Here's the paradise we found:
• Spacious, luxurious and private villa: I had been concerned that we wouldn't have enough privacy, but it's an entirely separate and gorgeous house! Plus, Gerry and Chainat are extremely discreet.
• Incredible amenities, including a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, starter basket of food (fruits, meats, drinks, etc.), cable TV, AC, wifi, fresh towels and sheets, toiletries, and more.
• Great location: It's a short walk to Beau Vallon beach, plus you can hop on the local bus to go to Victoria. There's also a terrific Thai-run spa called Peppermint that's a short walk away.
• Good local food: You can walk to some local eateries, self-cater from grocery stores, or go to the night market for very cheap street food. One night, Chainat prepared us a Thai meal that was the best we'd had during our entire trip.
• Local insights: Whether it's about local politics or the best beaches to visit, Gerry is the man to ask.
• Private excursions: We took a snorkeling trip on one of Gerry's charter boats, and it was the best snorkeling I've ever done (we've been to Mauritius, the Maldives, Southeast asia, and more). He isn't pushy about any of this.
Having stayed at some incredible resorts over the years, I can't recommend Sunglow Resort enough. Usually it's a matter of compromising on luxury or convenience for value, but that's not the case here. I am the biggest skeptic when a reviewer says a place is a "home away from home," but in this rare case, Sunglow Villa is worthy on every level.Response from Germain Camille - 01/29/2013

Gerry and Chainat take their roles seriously and nothing is too much trouble for them. Chainat is a fantastic cook and Gerry is both smart and hilarious. Myself, my husband and our 2 daughters in their 20's spent a lot of time with them, including Christmas Day celebrations, and left feeling true warmth and affection for them.
The villa is well appointed with huge rooms and in the perfect location. Beau Vallon is in our opinion the best place to be on Mahe and SunGlow is only a walk away, while being away from the people and traffic. Shops, restaurants atms spa etc are also just a stone's throw away.
In short if you are sociable this is a villa you will love. Go on a fishing trip and join in on everything you possibly can. If you are on Honeymoon and need to be given extra solitude then say so at the start. I highly reccomend this villa and the lovely owners who live next door.

Been coming to Seychelles since 1987, and have known Germain from day one. Yes, that's 25 years.
This was the first time we stayed with him, rather than at a hotel in Beauvallon. My advice is "don't do hotels!
1) Do you get fresh towels and beds made up every day? Yes.
2) Can you get fishing trips and excursions arranged without extra fees or commission? Yes.
3) Do you get insights into local way of life? If you want to, yes. If not, Germain and his family can be very discreet.
Germain even organised a rental car, cheaper than advertised prices.
All in all, a great 10 days, made even better by the presence of Chainat, Germain's wife.
Don't book last week of October to first week November, they are my dates!

The villa is huge with a lot of space and beautiful views to the sea, Chainats gorgeous garden and the unbelievable green hills around. It's equipped with everything you need for a careless vacation and thanks to Cecille, very clean and tidy. Next to the wonderful house we got delicious Bbqs, Thai food, cakes and fruits. Altogether it was Wunderbar!

The SunGlow villa is a really beautiful place to stay. The owner and his wife live next door and there hospitality is great. Bbq and amazing Thai cooking included. The villa is big with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and the livingroom and kitchen downstairs. Everything you need for a good holiday.
This house and the owners a really amazing. Gerry and his wife Chainat did everything to make our stay unforgettable. His sister took everyday care of the cleaning of the house, bake bananacake and even did the washing. What else do you want? As a frequent traveler this was the best stay ever in a rented house. Thanks to Gerry, Chainat and Cecille.

If you are the sort of traveller (like us) who likes to really get to know the country and people you are visiting then I cannot recommend Sun Glow enough. The villa is well equipped, clean & spacious. It comes with family Bbqs where you can discuss the islands politics, boat trips, Creole lessons from the gorgeous 7 year old ariel, tips on the best ways of using the entire coconut fruit plus lots of food, drinks and laughter, along with the occasional song!!
Sun glow villa is in Beau Vallon which has plenty of shops and restaurants, plus a long golden beach within walking distance, making it a great base from which to explore the island. The villa is a real home from home with two huge bedrooms, both en-suite. There is a large well equipped kitchen, washing machine, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a huge living area, plus a gorgeous garden complete with adrian (4 years old at time of writing)and his scooter, lemon, grapefruit, mango, coconut trees, chillies, cinnamon, Geckos, lovely birds,...the list is endless. The villa also comes with the fabulous Cecille (someone I wish I had at home) who came daily to clean up after us. Thanks Cecille, I hope we weren't too messy!
Gerry and Chainat we cannot thank you enough for making our stay with you so easy and enjoyable. From the minute you collected us at the airport, to the minute (5.30am!), you saw us off on our way home you took such good care of us all. Your villa is clean, tidy and so well equipped you should be very proud! As hosts you are attentive without being overbearing, and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks for all the gorgeous food, Bbq's, more than occasional beers, fishing trips, tips on everything from how to cook Creole soup to which beaches are best for snorkelling. You really have made our first visit to the Seychelles something truly special.
If you want a holiday with a very personal feel in the height of luxury then Sun Glow is where you should stay. We loved it, miss it, and hope to return one day soon.

We (family with 2 kids of 5 and 7 years old)staid at villa sunglow for 8 nights during our 3 weeks seychelles holiday. It was an unforgettable experience due to the great hospitality of the Camille family and due to the great very well spaced (2 large sized bed rooms and bath rooms) and clean villa. The location near beau vallon beach makes it complete. Germain and Chainat are great hosts, very dedicated to their guests without getting too close. We had very relaxed barbeques in the joint garden of the 2 villas. We were able to enjoy Germains catch of the day from his own boat. Germain and Chainat: Thank you very much that we could be your guests. We will never forget you!

Nous sommes un couple avec deux enfants 8ans et 3ans1/2, nous avons passé 10 jours à Sunglow villa.
Gerry nous a accueillis à l'aéroport tôt le matin, un petit déjeuner nous a été servis à la maison dès notre arrivée. Une corbeille de fruits exotiques nous attendait et dans le frigo pain, beurre et lait...
Sunglow Villa est située dans un quartier en hauteur de beau vallon, les chambres sont très grandes avec chacune sa salle de bain. Nous avons apprécié le coucher du soleil et la vue sur mer de notre balcon. Gerry et chainat nous ont invité plusieurs fois à diner, c'était très sympa, nous avons passé d'agréables soirées en leur compagnie.
La plage de beau vallon est agréable mais n'hésitez pas à découvrir d'autres plages parfois accessibles uniquement par bateau ou après une longue marche à pied. Nous sommes également passés par Gerry pour la location de voiture, parfait livrée et reprise à la villa, nous avons vu avec lui aussi pour la sortie en bateau.
Merci encore à Gerry et Chainat pour leur gentillesse. Bisous aux garçons et plus particulièrement à Adrien.

Our hosts Gerry and Shainat are the kindest, friendliest and most accomodating of all hosts we have ever encountered (we never stay in hotels while travelling, and we have travelled world-wide). They make you feel at home the moment you arrive, and bend backwards to provide comfort, warmth and the feeling that your perfect well-being is very important to them.
The house is impeccably clean, well equipped, very comfortable and well located - just minutes to a beautiful beach, restaurants and local shops.
Gerry is happy to provide fishing/snorkelling trips around the island with a likable and professional crew.
The hosts invited us to barbeque dinners, to a farewell lunch and to many occasional drinks.

I spent my last port call after a very long deployment in Seychelles in Gerry's amazing place. There are 101 things i could say about his place but you really need to go experience it for yourself. Gerry and his wife have a beautiful home and really made me feel like i had the SunGlow Villa for my home while i was there. They are perfectly located in a quite area with a wonderful view and a short walk to the beach. If you vacation in Seychelles you should really see if there is room in Sunglow, it is by far the best experience i have had and easily the best value when to comes to beautiful places to stay while you enjoy all that Seychelles has to offer.

After 15 hours of flight we were greeted by the family "Camille" like kings, friends, family members in a house at the top level for the comfort, the cleanliness,the equipment ... it lacked nothing!! Everything was organized to ensure you have a memorable holiday and carefree ...our welcome back to the airport, car rental, tour tips etc. ... I work in the hotel industry for 20 years now and I give to this location the 4 stars without hesitation. We visited a few countries and will have much more to see but the Seychelles is our favorite destination and we will want to go back to "Sunglow" as early as possible (can be for our honeymoon this time). Thanks again at Germain, Shainat, Daren, my little adrian, Cecile, Billy and Mark who are lovely people . Thanks for all the wonderful memories that you let us in our heart and on the pictures !! Do not change anything!

We stayed for 3 weeks. The villa is new, very well thought through, spacious rooms,terrace and a balcony from which you can see the sunset and the ocean. Villa is well located - 600 meters to the beach, about same distance to the stores, bakery, souvenir shop and money changer. It is situated on a beautiful hill with lush tropical vegetation it has wonderful cozy tropical garden. You have everything you can possibly need - from automatic air freshener and fridge in every bedroom to mosquito killing systems and first aid kit, spacious bathrooms with aromatherapy oils/shampoo/shower gel/body lotion and fully equipped kitchen If you are traveling with a baby there is a perfect baby bed, very convenient potty and miniature baby bathtub. They also have toys.
Chainat is a wonderful cook. She prepared for us Thai, Creole and Indian dishes and different kinds of salads. Her soups were excellent and so was her home-made ice-cream. Gerry also did great red snapper barbeques for us. Thai barbeque was really great and unique. We also enjoyed complimentary baguettes and fruits. Gerry took us around the island in his new pickup. We went to anse Royale Beach (also had lunch there which his wife thoughtfully prepared for us). We also enjoyed a trip to anse Major - I highly recommend it for great nature and ocean views and snorkeling. We enjoyed watching sunset from our terrace. Good for people who want to emerge in local spirit and come to know the creole lifestyle, food, music and culture.
Overall, there was so much good in our experience that it is difficult to cover here or to give a complete representation of it on paper. I would invite people to experience it for themselves. One thing for sure: you will not regret booking with Sunglow Villa.

This nice villa is located in the mountainside near the perfect beach - only one and a half minute by car or 5-6 min by foot.
Villa is new, clean and cute. Nice design of tidy rooms, green landscape. We enjoyed very friendly host.
Ideal for relaxation for two families/couples.

Lors de notre arrivée à la villa nous avons été très bien accueillis par Germain et son épouse (petit déjeuner offert). La villa est superbe aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur; très fonctionelle et très confortable. Les propriétaires ont été à notre disposition pendant tout notre séjour. Germain propose des promenades en mer et la pêche au gros. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour.

The villa and the location are both perfect for a medium-sized family. We stayed with two adults and two children (4 and 7) and found all rooms generously-sized and fully equipped. The two bedrooms each have ensuite bathrooms (with bath and separate shower) as well as their own TV and bar fridge!
Germain (Gerry) and his wife, Chainat are genuinely friendly and helpful. Gerry helped us to arrange a car and driver to meet our 06:30 flight from Doha. Chainat cooked a breakfast of crepes with butter and jam for our arrival. Gerry's sister also stopped by to clean house for us every day.
The beach at Beau Vallon is within walking distance although we chose to drive most days because the roads are narrow and seldom have footpaths. We ate at La Plage, the Boat House and La Fontaine, which are all within metres of each other. Nearby is the La Perle Noire restaurant, which seems to draw great reviews. There are many cold stores for daily needs, including beer and wine. Ask Gerry for his recommendations on those with the best range and prices.
Summer rains did visit every other day, so we were glad we had hired a car to get around the island. The giant tortoises at Berjaya Resort (not far from the Beau Vallon police station) were a hit with the children and we stayed for lunch at their outdoor restaurant. The capital, Victoria is only a short drive away and you can catch a ferry from there for a day trip to Praslin and La Digue.

My husband Bucky and I had a wonderful honeymoon at the SunGlow Holiday Villa. Despite the rain Beau Vallon is beautiful and Mahe is a laid back and peaceful island. Gerry and China were wonderful hosts who even shared their Christmas barbeque with us. We had a lot of fun meeting their family and eating China's wonderful Thai cooking. We couldn't have asked for a nicer holiday. The location is convenient, the house is very comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean from the upstairs balcony, and our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming. We would definitely recommend the Sunglow Holiday Villa. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

"Très belle et grande maison, bien située pour visiter Mahé (à 10 mn de Victoria en voiture ou en bus). Maison bien équipée et climatisée, belle terrasse et beau jardin, ménage fait tous les jours par une charmante dame. Conforme à la description. Plage (Beauvallon), commerces et restaurants à proximité. Propriétaires sympathiques, dynamiques et très ouverts (pour discuter des différents aspects de la vie Seychelloise) et qui peuvent vous louer une voiture ou vous proposer des sorties en mer pour pêche ou découverte du milieu marin. Superbe séjour. Maison à recommander fortement au vu de l'excellent rapport qualité-prix.

The Service was Excellent, Efficient and Very professional.
This is a home away from home.The family is very friendly and very good hospitality.Always had an evening together with the whole family.The location is very quite away from noisy town and within 500M to the beach and shopping cab and boat services. Had access to internet everyday within the premises and Dstv television for news and documentaries. The time in Beau Vallon and especially Mr.Camilles House was really great. I stayed there with my family for about three weeks (3 adults, 2 kids) and we had a wonderful time with gerry and his family - very friendly and helpful people. They let us gain bit of insight in the way of life at seychelles, which you definetely dont get when you stay at a common tourist hotel. Perfect for a family, we stayed there 3 weeks with our kids. Located near beautiful Beau Vallon beach and also not far from Victoria (bus stop just 2 min walk). An almost new villa, very clean. You will hardly get anything comparable for that price in Beau Vallon, very good value for money.
Gerry and his family are world class hosts, we enyoyed very much all the BBQ, Creol an Thai food we had in the garden (not forget the Chivas Regal and Seybrew...). If you are looking for an authentic Seychell experience, this is the place to go.Response from Germain Camille - 09/15/2011

It's been an absorbing, exciting and real-life experience. The villa is confortable, quite luxurious, complete of services and household appliance. You'll find yourself in a simple and characteristic world made up of a mixture of culture and countries, running from africa to China and from Europe to Russia. What is nice and different from a "classic" vacation in an hotel or in a resort, is that you can "live" the local custom and daily life; you can have a walk along the main road in wich is the villa (just be carefull to the not-so-careful drivers along the roads)and you will get the centre of beau vallon, where you can find everything! Groceries, clothes shops, baker's shops; on this point, I suggest you to try the marvellous bread with jam (for only 2 euros - cca 30 rupies - you'll have a generous breakfast for three persons!). In connection to this point, you'd better to change your value with the local rupies. Sometimes, the prices in euro or dollars are not "exactly" the same of those in rupies...but it's just a secondary thing, compared with the incredible sceneries and experience that you'll test. Finally I want to remind to "live" the local life; to better do this, I suggest to attend the characteristic local street market, during the day but even during the evening, where you can eat all the local-street-food (try the Quail eggs!!)
