This cozy 3 bedroom home is the perfect beach retreat for a family. There are games and puzzles, a fenced area for dogs, and the beach access is just 50 feet from the front door. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and the beach is a beautiful sandy beach that is perfect for making sand castles!
The house features a king bed in the master bedroom with a queen in the second bedroom and a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom and a twin on top in the third bedroom. There are two full bathrooms as well. The living area is very spacious and offers a cable TV with a DVD player that is perfect for a family movie night. The kitchen is f...ully stocked with everything you need for the perfect home cooked meal.
There is a large deck with a fire pit in the yard but please be aware that you may not have open fires outside after July 1st due to the wild fire risk. The house has easy flat access to the beach and the home is all one level so it is a great option for those who do not like stairs. The community of Tierra del Mar is a quiet tranquil community yet it is close to the restaurants, shops and galleries in Pacific City and the great fishing, clamming and crabbing launch points in Netarts so you can easily find some action and adventure in either direction while coming home to a peaceful resting point after your day's activities.
Please limit the number of cars at the house to 3 or less and please bring your own beach towels and beach blankets. Please note that the grill is only available for use from early summer through early fall.

When we arrived, we discovered that the house had clearly not been touched since the previous tenants left. We called Vacasa and they were embarrassed to admit that they had not, in fact, cleaned the house for our arrival. A full ninety minutes after we called Vacasa, a beleaguered cleaning woman arrived. The cleaning woman was very nice, but clearly frustrated and tired, and asked us to wait outside while she cleaned the house. Which we did. For two hours. We tried to make the most of the situation by walking down to the beach, but in the end we literally wound up standing on the porch, waiting to get back into the house. We did not gain access to the house until 7:30 PM, which was three-and-a-half hours after check-in. Even so, we found dirty dishes in the cabinet, trash in the bathrooms, and pillows without pillowcases. There are also food stains (blood stains?) on the armchair slip covers, blown-out bulbs on the front porch, stained towels, a broken kitchen sink, and very run-down floors (old linoleum literally nailed onto the underflooring). There was no dish soap, dishwashing detergent, hand soap, soap for the showers, or toilet paper in one of the bathrooms.
Also, the housekeeping staff left the previous tenants' garbage in loose garbage bags, and so, when we woke up the next morning, we opened the front door to find that an animal had ransacked the pile. There was garbage everywhere. We called Vacasa and they sent someone over to remedy the situation.
To Vacasa's credit, they were prompt in dealing with our issues, and very apologetic on the phone. We had to leave messages a few times, but they usually called back within the hour. They also refunded us the cleaning fee and one night's stay. Nevertheless, this is not a house I would recommend. Vacasa seems to care very much about customer service, but not very much about the actual state of its rental properties.
