This semi-detached cottage is set on the outskirts of the village of Beckermet, close to the seaside resort of St Bees in the Lake District and sleeps nine people in three bedrooms. Longcliffe is a semi-detached cottage situated on the edge of the village of Beckermet, close to Whitehaven in the Lake District. This cottage sleeps upto nine people and has three bedrooms, consisting of one ground floor double one family room with a double and children’s bunk beds and another family room with three single beds, as well as a ground floor family bathroom and a family shower room. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen, dinin...g room, sitting room and a summer room. Outside the cottage there is a large enclosed lawned garden with patio, furniture and BBQ, and off road parking for 3 cars. Longcliffe is close to many attractions, which will suit all tastes all year round.

Amenities: Gas central heating with gas fire in the sitting room. Gas cooker, microwave, slow cooker, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, video, DVD, CD. Library of books, maps, videos and games. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cots, highchairs and stairgates available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Shed for bike storage. Large enclosed lawned garden and patio with furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Horses welcome by arrangement with owner. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 5 mins walk. Note: The front and back doors have grab rails fitted and the bathrooms have grab rails and shower seats. Note: Max 7 adults.

Town: Beckermet is a small village, which offers cottages, farm dwellings, modern houses and a traditional pub, serving food, along with an annual pop festival. Just five miles away is the seaside resort of St Bees, plus the World Owl Centre, Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass to Eskdale are nearby. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We had a problem with the washing machine on the first day of visit. By the second day it was fixed. That was excellent service I would say. The house had ample room for Grand Parents,Daughter and Son-in-law plus four grand children. The house was well equipped although the furniture and decor was a bit dated it was still clean and comfortable. The location was central to most places. The garden was great for keeping the kids happy and safe. It was peaceful and the shed storeage was ample for 8 bikes. We all had a good time and would go again.

  We felt very welcome, especially as so many provisions were left for us to use. It was just like staying with friends!
  The house had an unusual layout, with made it a bit confusing at times. But it is great for families to share. Despite instructions, we struggeled with the showers - it didn't appear possible for two people to shower at the same time.
  The village is small and not very attractive, but it does have a big pub, which advertises free WiFi and a small supplies of groceries to buy. We had a decent meal there, but the WiFi didn't work and when we needed milk, the pub appeared shut...
  The property was warm and clean. We didn't use the garden, but it looked nice too.

  propyfath erty was spotlessly clean, and must be the best equipped property we have ever rented. We had a relaxing break with family who had travelled from different parts of the country. Plenty of walking in the area, loads of information provided by the owner.
