"Mas Pau" an 18th century Catalan farmhouse (masia), completely renovated but authentic details were preserved to the maximum, like the typical vault ceilings and rock-stone walls. This property is situated just outside the charming village of Regencós and overlooks the valley with spectacular views towards the "Gavarres" hills.
The original rock-stone massive walls guarantee a cool in-house climate during the hot summer. Spending your holiday at this "masia" will be a very special experience.

The direct environment of the house consists of fields and pineforests with ample possibilities for walking and cycling. The village center lies at approx. 800m distance and provides two very good restaurants.
Regencos is situated in the heart of the socalled "golden triangle", the most beautiful part of the Costa Brava, between the charming villages Pals and Begur. It only takes 2 km to Begur, which is a lovely little village built around a hill, offers lots of authentic little restaurants and the most lovely little beaches(coves). The medieval village of Pals is worth a visit with its narrow streets and many restaurants. Palafrugell at 3 min. drive, provides all necessary shopping facilities, restaurants, supermarket, a daily fresh meat-, fish- and fruitmarket. As you see, to explore the all over Europe famous Catalan kitchen, can be found within 5 min. drive.
And last but not least, if you are a GOLF lover, this part of the Costa Brava has "all you need" to offer: 2 beautiful 18- holes courses within 10 min. drive and another 7 within 10/35 min. drive.
Being golfers ourselves, we know very well what golfers prefer during their holidays, so apart from summer rentals, we offer Golf holidays/breaks with extra services on demand, like interesting greenfee discounts and transfers etc.

The Mas Pau residency is one of my favourite holiday locations in Spain. I try to return every year. The old farmhouse is located on the sunny hill just outside of an authentic, small community named Regencos.
It's a very peaceful place just 10 minutes away from the busier Costa Brava. The view from the residence over the hills between Begur and Palafrugell is amazing. Every morning we try and make a long walk through the forests and hills surrounding the house.
Violetta makes sure we get all the right tips for nice places to dine, visit and go shopping. Our favorite gem is the Grau wine palace which is only a 5 minute ride. Grau is a big importer and distributer of wine in Spain. They have an amazing assortment both in amounts and quality. We always make sure to choose our Rioja favorites and some locally produced ones. Top this of with a visit to the local meat and fish market of Pallafrugell and you will be set for a great gastronomical week.

The hagueA great place for a holiday in Spain

We very much enjoyed our stay in Mas Pau. The Dutch owners made us very welcome. The house was tidy and clean and everything we needed was there. It is comfortable and has lots of room inside and outdoors for a large group of people with enough privacy for all. We were very fond of the kitchen. The owners had pointed us to Can Solivera, an olive plantation not too far from Mas Pau. After our visit there we have been cooking local dishes with their olive oil only. And kept a few bottles to take back home too.
Mas Pau is an old farm a little away from the coast but it is just a short ride to the sea and a few very nice and quiet beaches. And when we weren't cooking at home we found a few nice places to eat nearby, in Begur and Pals. We had a great time in Mas Pau and I'm sure we'll be back for more before too long.

Mas Pau was a true discovery to us, on the Costa Brava but just inland and away from the touristic coastal strip. It is an ancient farmhouse smartly converted into a very comfortable and spacious and very Spanish house. All amenities present. The kitchen is a dream and we have spent many an evening under its old arched ceiling.
It easily houses eight people and has lots of space around the house too in the garden and by the pool. Mas Pau sits on a hill and from the porch we had a wide-open view towards Palafrugell and the hills beyond. From the house we walked directly into the countryside and through the fields all the way to Palafrugell. Back by a higher road along the woods with great views of Pals and Regencos. Both worth a visit, as is Begur, on the other side of the hill. They have a great Italian there too, highly recommended.

Since 2007 we have stayed in this farmhouse to spend our holidays every single year. The home is absolutely fabulous, restored in the proper Catalan way with a lot of space for children and grandchildren. The location is excellent for beachlovers, the beach being only a few miles away. And last but not least this place is made for golfers. There are plenty beautiful golfcourses around and in the lower garden of the home is one hole laid out for practice!
