This 19th Century, single storey cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms and is loacted near to Belford in Northumberland. This sympathetically restored nineteenth century cottage, made from traditional stone in the rural hamlet of Bellshill, lies only two miles from the pretty village of Belford. A short drive from the sweeping Northumberland coast, this cottage has fantastic, panoramic views to Budle Bay, Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands, not forgetting the impressive Heritage Coast. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The cottage was of a very high standard, comfortable, warm and well equipped. There was a welcome hamper awaiting us, which was a lovely surprise! The cottage was well situated and close to Bamburgh's lovely beach, and other attactions along the Northumbrian coast.

Beautiful views from the cottage over to Bamburgh Castle and the distant light from the Longstone Lighthouse. The cottage was clean, and very well equipped.

The cottage was very easy to find from the travel details and booking was very easy.
The house was very comfortable with everything you needed in the very well stocked kitchen. The lounge was very comfortable and the adition of a telescope in the bedroom was excellent.
It is set in a very quiet area with a great view over-looking Bamburgh Castle. The garden was filled with bird feeders and many an hour was spent watching the Greater Spotted Woodpeckers feeding.
Everything was excellent and would be a wonderful base for anyone who liked to watch birds in a wonderful garden. -

A lovely old single storey cottage with a very simple and modern interior Beautifully clean with a light and bright atmosphere and gorgeous views of the coast. A real pleasure to return to after many walks and explorations in Northumberland.

The cottage was very conveniently situated to the main route through Northumberland and yet was just off the beaten track and so peaceful.
There were fantastic views over open countryside to Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands.
The cottage was very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need including bathrobes and binoculars!
The front garden was as good as a bird sanctuary with numerous birds visiting the bird feeders. The back garden had a lovely view up to the woodland and had a barbecue provdided.
We will be trying to book for 2010 as we just did not have time to visit all the places in Northumberland in just one week - there is so much choice - excellent beaches, amazing castles, etc.
I cannot think of anything to say against the cottage in Belford - it was fabulous.
