Salt Lake CityPerfect accommodations for Our Son's Wedding
Left on 12/19/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We needed a place to accommodate 7 couples and host a wedding day brunch for 25. This was the perfect place and Kara was very helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, glasses, silverware, etc. Both of our parents stayed next door at the very comfortable Tree Frog Inn. It was their little private getaway they could walk to but still feel part of the celebration. I wish we had more time to explore the beautiful surrounding property. The large private deck most be spectacular on warm sunny days.

Everett, WAWonderful location for family time
Left on 08/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Cedar House provided an amazing setting for our family reunion. The fire pit became the hot spot during the stay where many memories and photos were made and taken. The home provided everything we needed and we could not have asked for anything else. The home was clean and the perfect set up for our gathering. It was fantastic being so close to town but feeling so far from it all.

154914Great Rental for large family group
Left on 06/09/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We rented the Cedar Tree House for our son's wedding and housed his bridal party along with our family. The house was a great set up with multiple beds to have 4-6 guys or girls per room. The outdoor space was great as well and looked over on a Ravine of Trees with a creek below. The kitchen is well stocked for serving several people and we found it so organized with helpful notes and lists etc. The kids also loved the hot tub on the deck. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend for this type of gathering.

SeattleLovely place to stay and have a celebration at, we highly reccom
Left on 05/06/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cedar tree house. We stayed there with four other adults. There was plenty of room for more people to sleep over. The house is very spacious and yet has a very cozy and "homey" feeling. My daughter graduated from Western and we threw a small party for her there. There was plenty of room, dishes and cooking space, we had an age range of 19 to 80+ and everyone had a lovely time. It was by far a better experience than renting a room at a restaurant and probably a lot less expensive! The deck is just beautiful and the hot tub is lovely and quiet. The grounds are beautifully maintained. I would highly recommend this for any type of celebration or family get together. I have recommended it to my friends who also have upcoming graduates. We will be there when my next daughter graduates!

Left on 02/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Four brothers and their families (a total of 22 people, adults, young adults and children) came from several states and Europe to C. Dean Martin's celebration of life. All gathered in the Cedar Tree house. Few had previously been to Bellingham and wanted an appropriate place for privacy, and also a base to explore many of Dean's favorite places. This included hiking trails, the bay and the historic districs. This was the perfect secluded setting, with amazing facilities. Our special trip to honor our brother, would not have been nearly as special without the Cedar Tree House, and the great staff. The Martin Families...

SeattleLovely, casual, and pretty much perfect
Left on 10/11/2011 for a stay in September 2011
From the initial inquiry about the property to follow up communications, the quality of customer service response and care was remarkable. Thank you Kara!
The space itself was beyond what I had anticipated...the photos do not do this place enough justice. The yurt space was especially perfect for our large group meetings. The only minor issue was WiFi was a bit bogged down at times (with so many users in our group) however it worked for the most part. But with a gourmet kitchen and hot tub, what's not to love about the Cedar Tree?? -

VancouverGreat place for a retreat
Left on 10/10/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Went on a retreat with around 23 others. Sleeping arrangements weren't bad though one of the "bedrooms" were 3 sofabeds and located in a section of the house that made it noisy to sleep when people were in the living room or kitchen. Overall, found the house very beautiful. The TV was above the fireplace that made it a bit uncomfortable for everyone to watch together. The only thing that we found strange were the random sinks in different parts of the house. (A sink in what looks like used to be a closet) and a mini sink in one of the bedrooms that I suppose is handy when accomodating a large group. Overall fun weekend and stay with lots of appliances to use, even a popcorn maker. Hot tub looked fun too.

We stayed at Cedar Tree for a teacher staff retreat. It was so nice to hold our meetings in the yurt, cook and eat together in the kitchen, and relax on the couches and in the hot tub! The location was perfect and the setting so serene. Thank you for creating such a wonderful retreat house!

We brought our children and grandchildren to the Cedar Tree House for a weeks stay this summer. What a beautiful setting! The stage and yurt sparked the imagination and we had a family talent show on the stage and learned line dancing in the yurt :) The hot tub was a huge hit. Kara was awesome about answering questions and making us feel welcome. Bellingham offers a lot of adventures and we left with great memories.

All in all a great experience. The house was great, and came with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Hot tub was marvelous, praticularly as the weather was not always what we hoped for!!
Kids loved the basketball hoop (who would have thought).
A little bit out of town, but if you're looking for space and privacy, you can't go wrong -

Thanks Kara for sharing your lovely house with us! Perfect getaway from the city if you just want to spend time with your friends and family. We were a group of 22 people and the house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us. We celebrated New Year's Eve here and everyone had a great time! Just outside the house there is a beautiful yurt, with heated wooden floor and great sound system. We absolutely enjoyed dancing in the yurt on New Year's Eve. The house is well equipped for all your needs. It is very clean, spacious, and also has lot of board games to entertain you in the evenings. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, appliances and everything that you needed to cook. The master bath is huge with beautiful closet. The hot tub area was very inviting with propane BBQ on the side. It was great to come back to a hot tub after a long day at Mt. Baker (which is about 45 minute drive from here). What a wonderful start to this year! The house had everything to make our stay a memorable one: hot tub, bon fire, yurt, sound system in every room, grill and a beautiful view of the trees. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we hope to return again soon!

SeattleA memorable experience
Left on 12/28/2010 for a stay in November 2010
My daughter and I stayed one night for a women's retreat. It was awesome. The place is beautiful, warm and very quiet. It has all the conveniences you can wish for. Gathering whether it is in the living room or the kitchen is wonderful. The Jacuzzi at night is heaven, especially when it has snowed. It was a memorable experience.

This home is a great space and location. So much attention has clearly been paid to make sure guests have everything they need, from kitchen necessities to extra blankets to shampoo. Plus, with a hot tub, serene trees, and flexible and attractive indoor spaces, the atmosphere is both peaceful and cozy. This is the perfect place for a gathering of family or friends. I immediately felt relaxed and right at home, almost as if I had decorated the space myself!
