Sleeping six people in three bedrooms, this lovely former coach house is in the grounds of Hesleyside Hall near Bellingham in Northumberland.Reiver's Rest is a quality cottage in the grounds of Hesleyside Hall, near Bellingham in Northumberland. The cottage has a bedroom which can be offered as a super king-size double or a twin, a double room and a twin room. There is a family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Downstairs, there is a well equipped kitchen with breakfast area, and a sitting room with open fire and large dining area. Outside, there is a private front patio, and access to the estates grounds including woodland walks. Fishing and tours of the hall can be offered by prior arrangement with the owners. Reiver's Rest makes a very welcoming base for a rural stay in grand surroundings.

Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Off road parking for 3 cars. Bike storage. Access to private estate walks and parkland. Front patio with garden furniture and BBQ. Salmon, trout and sea trout fishing by arrangement with owner prior to visit. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles.

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Bellingham is surrounded by the Northumberland National Park, is part of the Pennine Way and is near to Kielder Water, all of which makes it a walkers' paradise and a well-located base from which to see the rest of the region. Bellingham is the unofficial capital of the North Tyne Valley and is supposed to be built on the site of an old Roman station. It is extremely picturesque, comprising of a number of natural stone houses and there is much to see in the village itself, such as its 12th century church, the Heritage Centre and a cascading waterfall, which is just a short walk away. Nearby, other attractions include the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian's Wall and Kielder Forest and Water. There are plenty of walks to be had in the region, as well as a host of outdoor activities, such as horse-riding, fishing and canoeing.
