Delaware, USAHigh On Bequia's Mt Pleasant
Left on 05/19/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our week's stay at Villa alamanda was perfect, meeting and going above all our expectations. The incredible villa is perched at the top of Mt. Pleasant, with absolutely spectacular views, overlooking admiralty Bay. Just sitting on the comfortable balcony alone was entertainment watching the sailboats in the harbor, some moored, some coming, some going, as well as the ferries and larger ships bringing in supplies. With romantic colorful sunsets, and later star-filled skies and twinkling harbor lights, along with beautiful swimming pool and the bubbling Jacuzzi more than met our expectations. The front of the gated property was extremely inviting with nicely landscaped and well-maintained, eye-pleasing villa. The breezes on Mt. Pleasant were wonderful. We really didn't need to use the air-conditioning with the cross-ventilation when leaving windows open on all sides while we were at the villa. The natural lighting of the great room, which included the comfortable living room entertainment area with games, books, flat screen TV and more, spilled into the dining room area as well as the well-stocked modern kitchen. From start to finish, we thank Bert and Kay King for their hospitality and letting us stay in their beautiful Villa. They are a wonderful, friendly, couple we had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with. We hope to return some day to Bequia and definitely will stay at their Villa.

victoria bc canadaFantastic villa
Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in December 2012
My husband and I have rented villas all over the Caribbean. This villa was the best one we have ever stayed at! You have it all, gracious hosts ( Bert and Kay...who go out of their way to give you a very warm welcome), superb location on Mt Pleasant, ever changing, magnificent views of the harbour, comfortable bedrooms and living areas, gourmet kitchen, good size pool with huge deck for sun and shade, quiet safe neighborhood, 5 minute drive to many many great restaurants, 5 minutes to lovely beaches and the list goes on and on. The pictures of the house don't do it justice and Bequia ( the most charming, laid back island ) will draw you back again and again. Although small, there are lots of activities to keep you occupied for weeks! A trip to the Tobago Cays is a must! This was our second trip to Bequia, our first time at alamanda Villa...we were so fortunate to have found it and plan to return...many times!! Thanks Bert and Kay for the best vacation!

Virden IllinoisThe Best Bequia has to Offer!
Left on 03/10/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My wife and I have been to Bequia six times now, I think, it could be seven, and have stayed at the alamanda every time. Without doing disservice to other villas we haven't stayed at, this is the best place on the island to stay. The owners treat us like family and in turn we consider them family. The alamanda is furnished with all of the comforts of home, plus. The views and amemnities are exceptional. The neighbors and neighborhood are the best. The privacy, security and peace & quiet, are second to none. There is really no need to leave the property, but your must to enjoy everything Bequia has to offer. The view from the back patio has been the screen saver on my computer since our first visit. The drive to anywhere you want to go is short, but we prefer to hike as much as possible. I'm not sure what I like the most, sitting out back, at night looking at the boats in the harbor, or in the morning after a hike seeing what new boats came in while we slept. We will be back and we highly recommend the alamanda to anyone who might visit in the future!

CalgaryAmazing Villa and an exceptional value!
Left on 03/06/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We discovered Villa allamanda three years ago and can't help but keep going back. This is truly an amazing Villa at an exceptional value! We stayed for 5 weeks this winter and still couldn't get enough of the gorgeous views. Allamanda is located in a very quiet, private setting with its own pool, all the amenities of home and a perfect view of the harbour where you can watch mega yachts coming and going all day long. Although there were only two of us staying at the villa, it would be ideal for two couples as there are two identical master suites with their own en-suites on the main floor. We have travelled through many of the Caribbean Islands and believe this island and Villa allamanda make a truly perfect island getaway. We highly recommend Villa allamanda and Bequia!

UKBest views of admiralty Bay, plus great privacy
Left on 03/04/2012 for a stay in January 2010
We stayed at alamanda while planning our own villa on the island - and loved it so much that we "borrowed" some ideas from its design for our own place!
We loved it for its huge balcony, the fantastic pool, and the strong sense of privacy wherever you choose to relax.
Add to that the fact that it's recently been updated, and that it has one of the best views of admiralty Bay on the island - and it's rather difficult to go wrong!Response from Kay King - 03/06/2012

ModestoVilla alamanda is as beautiful as the flower
Left on 02/19/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Wishing we were back on the 'panoramic' veranda of the alamanda ! Of our fifteen trips to Bequia, thirteen have been spent @ the alamanda. for more reasons than we can possibly list. Bert and Kay, who go 'above and beyond', have created a vacation home that should be experienced, both for it's beauty and it's accommodations. If you are thinking of renting, you have no doubt, seen the pictures on the website, which, in no way capture the views from the top of Mt. Pleasant. From sunrise to sunset, it's as if you are looking @ a postcard ! From the pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds(w/ bright white linens),open air rooms., shady cool east porch for afternoon reading and cocktails ,it is a perfect villa for comfort and relaxation. Always fun to take new visitors and see their reactions !!!

Villa alamanda has a perfect view of the harbor, and we never get tired of watching the ferries, working ships, sailboats and yachts come and go. Stayed in 2010 and 2012. Love opening all the french doors in the morning; feels like we are outside every minute. Perfect temps, 85, to 75 at night. Large porch, beautiful pool, outdoor bar and grill. Large, gated lot so very private and plenty of level parking,(steep driveways and parking can be very tricky at many rentals on Bequia). Owners live on Bequia; great couple who are very helpful if you need anything. Hope to stay at Villa alamanda again.
