This home has beautiful potential if attention to detail was a priority. It is very difficult to find, no address numbers are visible and the house is NOT on the street it is listed as. It is on a dirt driveway that is very difficult to locate in the dark. When I could not locate the house I called the property mgmt company and the lady did not offer any help, said she would call back, but did not. To find the house we roused a neighbor
We were completely satisfied with the home for our group. However, the bar b que is dangerous and needs to be replaced. One of the garage door's light beam is loose. The entry lockset into the garage needs replacing.
In other VRBOs I have rented provided ample trash bags and a means of separating recyclables in the house. Half a roll of paper towels were provided and only one dish towel. Also, only one hot pot pad was in the home.
It would have been nice if the heat had been turned on for us. The widows that were opened when we arrived had the home very cold on our arrival.
I only mention these shortcomings to make it better. I own a vacation home and how I prepare it for guests. I would be happy to discuss the home further if you would like. Thank you.

Hello Bill:I know after a long drive you want to be able get to your home for your stay with ease.I am sorry you were unable to locate the home with ease. New construction has made the visibility of the home from the road not as easy, yet it is listed with the correct street indeed. The lights are motion sensitive, yet you have to be near to initiate. Open windows and the heat not up for you are an absolute "unacceptable" and we are addressing this with the staff that did not handle the house being ready for you as our usual process. Thank you for your calling this to our attention.To follow up more Bill, I did give you a call back; I did grab the two other calls coming in from your party to be told you had found the house. We then followed up with a phone call the next day to be told everything was “fine”. Starting things out with the wrong foot is not the standard for our stays and I am so sorry that this was you experience.Very sincerely.

enjoyable space. a bit hard to get the heat right and had to space out showers so that could be a problem for a large group. had everything we needed. snowy beautiful view of mts.

Karen:Thank you for the review. This extreme cold makes any heat varibale. We hope that with the use of the woodburning stove and thermastat there was not, thermastat confusion! Having them close in proximity maybe a culprit in such cold temps. Thank you for creativity for shower spacing, am showers and pm showers seem to work!!

The Three Pines house was just about perfect for our family vacation/reunion/wedding. The kitchen was fairly well equipped, great for our big meals and wedding preparations, the views from the expansive windows and deck were awesome. It was a great neighborhood, quiet enough to hear the owls, coyotes and with wind in the pine trees.

Loved the location and the layout was very nice. If I could offer a few bits of advice, they would be:
1. My wife tried calling your office on Friday afternoon only to be directed to voicemail, for which the voice mailbox was she couldn't contact anyone when she needed it.
2. The double doors that lead out to the deck (NW doors?) have a defective/broken handle. The handle can actually slide off rather easily.
3. I would suggest a new grill. The current one is quite wobbly and if there are kids around, it could easily fall and badly injure someone.
4. We were a bit disappointed that no more than one person could take a shower. Would have been nice to have known that beforehand so we could plan for our running team a little better.
Overall though it was a nice experience and thank you for a nice home and beds for us to sleep the night away.

Hi Ken: Thank you for your review and suggestions.I am not sure about the VM, did your wife leave message as we did not recieve one. When we are on the other line the voice mail activiates??? The doors to the deck have an odd lock and it is unfortunate that when they are not used correctly the handle will displace. I am glad you reported it to us. Ken, I did place your booking and we visited about the well at the home being as statedand the staging for showers etc. We inform everyone when a booking is placed, yet time as passed since the booking and your stay!! None the less we are glad you enjoyed the good night's rest, the roominess, and stellar view. We would love to have you return and always feel free to leave a message, if you do not hear back from us in the proper time, give the cell phone a ring, (# on your paperwork) we want to be sure to address any needs you would have!!

Hi Bryn, To clear up any confusion; in the web page (no advertisment of the hot tub) and all dialogue and documentation we do not mentiona hot tub, as it is not useable and must stay in place per the builder's request. We are really clear about how we presentour homes. I understand having the hot tub complete and functioning would be ideal. We were under the impression that this place would sleep 14 since that was the max occupancy but it really only sleeps 9 people in beds. We had to buy two air mattresses for the rest of our group. Other than that, the place is huge and the kitchen / living room are great for hanging out and chatting. The Bend Dutch staff where very helpful and we'll definitely use them next time we stay in Bend.

Hi Chris: Thanks very much for your review. The thing to mention in regards to the occupancy is we assume that the beds are shared, thus the number of 14. I understand when you have all fellows that there is going to be one person to a bed, as in your case. When we visit with our guests this is sometimes brought up and solutions are offered, i.e. our blow up mattress, or the two murphy beds brought in. For us it was a great location. It could have been an improved experience if:
1. The hot tub was usable
2. The BBQ was in better condition
3. It had HD TV with more than a few channels (No ESPN or anything)
4. It really slept 14 - would be better for 8-10 max
5. The garage door openers worked better
Overall, a little disappointing. -

The three pines lodge was absolutely amazing. Great location to get to Mt. Bachelor and only minutes to the restaurant/bar district in Bend. We had a large group and the three pines lodge accomodated everything we needed, including foose ball! We will be coming back for years to come.

Bend Dutch Vacation Rentals went out of their way to take care of us after another property management company left us without a place to stay. Set us up in a great house and made sure we were comfortable. A great experience... I highly recommend this company.
