Wow what a wonderful vacation i had on Bequia we rented the seacliff villa .Im sorry my friends from canada if that is what you are saying for we spend a wonderful week at the villa and it was wonderful, we had everthing at our disposal ; when we first arrive the view was spectacular and we were met by the house keeper madia with a smile and some wonderful tapas as our welcome package with wine ,we are dog lovers but wanted a vacation just relaxing and was told we need not to worry everything will be taken care of ,the dog was move and the housekeeper was so nice about it ,loved the security of the house the doors are well secure and on arrival we got keys for every door but we had to be careful when we got the grand tour we were shown what to do from being locked out, love the kitchen it has everyting glasses of every kind wine, water and other essentials coffee maker ,kettle , towels there was everything,i did not want to do laungry for it is my vacation and you just tell the madia what you want and it is done the beds wee freshly made everyday and the wonderful scents welcome you to the villa ,we also had the madia cook for us and tha was an excellent meal enjoy it, it wa our first to the island but thestaff at seacliff are wonderful they made our vacation an enjoyable one .To my friends from canada you said a lost key ruin your vacation buthow can you lose a key and i do no believe u about the one key for every person got a key when we got there ,we had our beds made everyday so that is not true either and we always had fresh pool and beach towels so that means the laudry was done regularly for sheets were clean and changed every three days and when we said we did not want the dog we were told it will be taken off the property there were six of us and we had wine glasses for all of us and lots remainig, the kitchen has everything you need to provide meals it is a villa not you home you will not find everything you have at your home in a villa ,your experience you say was disappointing probably you who made it that way,and you are on vacation how can you lose a keyand if you were lock out i know someone came and assist you and ther must have been a spare key for you to get inside,i know we enjoyed our stay and i think that you are wrong about the villa and if you lose something that belongs to someone you are suppose to replace it ,do you know the owner? why are you giving a false review that is not right i hope you don't go everywhere and do these things but then this is the only review and i guest you were on vacation before and one othre thing the guests that stay at seacliff writes in a book and all of the are not from the same placce as the owner the are from as far as englnd so taht comment was false also.
Seacliff is great I Hhad a wonderful vacation and will be back.

      Very disappointing

Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013

I would like to preface this review by saying that we have rented many villas over the years on various islands in the Caribbean. I have never had the urge to write a negative review of a property as with all we have been thrilled and expressed so to the managing company and the owner. However, in this particular case I feel it is important to provide an accurate review of Seacliff as we believe if I had read such a review it would have helped us in selection of a villa in Bequia.

I am quite suspect of the previous reviews as they all came from one visit and I believe they are from the same area as the owner, maybe friends or family. Perhaps their standards are much lower than ours.

Positives to start and agree with other reviewers; the view is stunning, the outdoor shower is nice and they have decent beach and bath towels.

      Issues we had:

We arrived to find that a dog lives at the villa. This is not disclosed anywhere on any website. The owners guest book we read on site suggests if you do not want Skippy for the vacation the housekeeper, Madia will take him. After hesitantly and very kindly asking Madia to take Skippy we got big attitude from her. Apparently if you are not willing to live with Skippy be prepared to live with a cranky housekeeper.

We were only given one key for the villa. This villa has 9 self locking doors. Inevitably one night we got locked out as one of the doors closed behind us with the key inside.
Do not lose a key, they do not have any spares. We were subjected to nasty attitude from Madia, and then a berating phone call from the owner informing us that she has no more keys and it is now at our expense to have this key replaced. It is completely irresponsible for an owner to rent her villa and not have spare keys. This key issue really ruined our experience at this villa.

The villa does not look like it does in the photos. The appliances are approx 20 years old and are dirty. The window coverings in the bedrooms are disgustingly dirty. One cannot open them either if you try the entire curtain rod falls down. The Jalousie shutters in one of the kids bedrooms were broken, letting in dozens of mosquitos at night. In the other kids bedroom, the shutters did not open.

The kitchen is ill equipped. There are maybe 3 ratty old tea towels. 6 cloth napkins, once used good luck seeing them again as Madia the housekeeper only will do laundry about every 3 or 4 days. We arrived and had maybe a quarter of a roll of paper towel, no paper napkins. Only 2 or 3 decent wine glasses.

Madia, the housekeeper did not ever empty the dishwasher, sometimes not even enter every bathroom for a quick tidy or ever tidy outside.

It clearly says in the owners guest book that guest are not allowed to do their own laundry, as the villa's water source is collected rainwater and Madia is happy to do personal laundry with the villa laundry. She is not happy to do so at all. I washed many running clothes and kids essentials in the shower with me many times.

The villa is advertised as having aveda products, however when we arrived they were almost empty and never were refilled.

The Spa atmosphere that is advertised is a joke, the housekeeper is unhelpful, I ran around doing what I do at home, making beds, tidying up, doing dishes and laundry. The place is very dirty and dated, nothing spa like here.

I hope this review helps those considering booking a villa in Bequia. Bequia is a beautiful island and we had a fabulous vacation despite the horrible experience at Seacliff. The staff at Grenadines villas were very helpful and were aware and very apologetic about the many issues we had at Seacliff. I hope those looking to vacation in Bequia enjoy the many beaches, restaurants and wonderful people on the island, just stay away from Seacliff.

The photos do not do this villa justice, it's even better!

If you are looking for a quiet, picturesque high end vacation villa Seacliff is a great choice. The home is simply amazing, million dollar views, high end accommodations, perfect pool, view and outdoor lounging area and an amazing chef & housekeeper too.

The villa sleeps 6 comfortably and is quite private. The location and view are like non other. I loved the daily outdoor shower, comfy beds, quality sheets/towels and being catered to by Media every day. This villa is close to the top of a pretty high part of the Island and the sunset views from the top, the sunrise views from the house and the infinity pool are all breathtaking.

All of the comforts of home are included so much so it doesn’t feel like a rental but a home. I’d stay here again and in fact would go back to Bequia just to stay in this setting as we enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a close as you will come to heaven on earth!

This villa is situated overlooking Spring Bay in Bequia. The view over the infinity pool is stunning and I never grew tired of it. The linens, towels, and bath robes are wonderfully luxurious. The arrangement of the villa is fabulous and worked extremely well for the group of six we travelled with. Each of us was able to enjoy time together when we wanted or retire to our suite if we wanted to spend time alone. The villa has great internet access and cable TV, if you want to spend your time in paradise on such things.

Best of all, Madia took care of us, cooking spectacular meals and keeping the villa tidy. She is a real treasure.

Bequia is a great island. The people were very friendly. We enjoyed a day trip boating to the Tobago Keys which afforded us great snorkeling opportunities. Industry Beach and Princess Margaret Beach on the island were also quite nice. The tour of the Firefly Plantation was another highlight of our stay.

      Wow! This house is amazing.

My wife and I spent a week at Seacliff with two other couples and we can't say enough good things about the place. I know they plan on reviewing too so I'll just mention my favorite parts:

      1. the view over Spring Bay with Mustique in the distance is incomparable. I've been looking out at it over the pool for a week and it's still as amazing as the first day.

      2. the infinity pool is extraordinary. I've been in it every day cooling off, swimming and relaxing. I prop my head on the edge and stare out to the ocean and have a hard time picturing the snow and ice back home.

      3. the food from Seacliff's cook Media (pron: may dah) just keeps coming and every meal is better that the last. We give Media money for groceries and she whips up mouth-watering Caribbean meals which match the best restaurants. She also makes us snacks and desserts since we are such an appreciative audience. Media's personality makes the place even more fun. If I were rich I'd hire her in a minute.

Seacliff is about 15 minute drive from town and the last couple miles are steep, winding roads. I was nervous about the drive on day one but was very confident after that and now enjoy driving up and down the hills like a native. We've walked up and down the hill for exercise each morning and I will miss that walk when I get back home.

Actually there are many, many things I will miss about Seacliff. It's a fantastic experience renting a villa like this. It's far superior to a hotel vacation. I hope we can come back again someday and relive this experience. A big thumbs-up to Seacliff!
