Domaine à Marmande is a renovated farm from the medieval times and has 3 B&B; rooms for 2 people each. It is set in the countryside surrounded by corn fields yet is only a 5 minute drive from the town Mirande with all services and shops and at an hours drive from the Pyrenees mountains. Rooms have hardwood floors, are painted in warm colors and equipped with a private bathroom, some with mosaic details giving it a Mediterranean feeling. A communal room, the Salon Rouge, has a microwave and fridge and offers a small library with detectives and information about the area. The community of Berdoues is an agricultural or rural community with only 400 people who mostly are corn or sunflower farmers. There is no nearby industry so our direct surroundings are very quiet and calm with pure air. We have a large garden and a long driveway so plenty of free parking. Nearby our house is a lovely forest and the community has set out several hikes or you can take our bikes and explore the near by area.Close by is de river the Baïse and kayak and canoe trips from Mirande to Berdoues are organized daily.
The Gascogny is know for its duck specialties (our neighbor is recommended if you want to take some home), Armagnac and Madiran wines.
Berdoues village is close to the RN 21, direction Lourdes (62 km), Toulouse (106 km), and Pau ( 109 km) where airports are located: Lourdes/Tarbes (www.tlp.aeroport.fr), Toulouse Blagnac (www.toulouse.aeroport.fr) and Pau (www.pau.aeroport.fr)
