Barat is perfect for a big family "get together" or also for a big group of friends. The house is very spacious with lots of different rooms and is perfect for kids too. Spacious fully fitted but country house kitchen which is a pleasure to cook in. Choice of either formal dining or more relaxed dining as part of the kitchen, or even better outside (there is a great built-in bbq). Great poolside area with loads of space for games with the kids. There is table tennis, boule, football,mountain biking - all sorts!
It's also nice if the weather isn't warm as it's cosy and there are two lovely wood burners to keep you warm.
Overall great stay and we'll be back - thank you! -

Our young family has stayed in Barat on several occasions through all seasons and each visit reveals added attractions. This is high end accommodation at its finest with attention to detail evident in every aspect. The comfort and spaciousness of the house are second to none and the pool is the best villa pool we have enjoyed anywhere on the continent. The house is always spotless on arrival and the location is ideal for excursions near and far. On our most recent visit, we delighted in exploring the many waymarked walking and cycling trails which are well sign-posted from the nearby villages, taking us into deep into the heart of the beautiful french countryside.
We plan on returning again very soon.

I have stayed at Barat in summer and winter time and the house suits any season. There is a great pool and plenty of space outside for the warmer months while in winter the house is extremely cosy with open fireplaces. It has been renovated with great taste. It is extremely comfortable catering for more than one family as there is a really spacious kitchen. It serves as an ideal base for excursions to the local towns, vineyards but is also a great location for "switching off". I left Barat feeling I had had a real break.

The home is well equipped with everything a family requires. It is spacious and has been renovated to the highest standard. It is child friendly with a lovely pool and spacious grounds to explore. Local villages that are a short drive away provide an authentic French experience. Local amenties are sufficient for all your needs, including a vibrant market and fine dining experiences to suit all budgets.The service was excellent and this property offers fantastic value for money. We will be back.
