A past renter left this description of the area: 'You will feel close to everything, but are staying in a very peaceful, private space. From this base, we enjoyed the whole bay area with easy trips down the pacific coast, into the city and north into the forests and wine country. The Berkeley and Oakland areas are minutes away for supplies and many dining and entertainment options.'
and another: 'Claremont is centrally located which makes this a perfect place to stay if you have a car and want to travel around. We had to go two times to San Jose which was only a 40 minutes’ drive each way, and went back and forth to San Francisco (25 min away). Even Napa Valley seemed close at 1 hr drive on well directed freeways.'

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with 8 others. The apartment was immaculate and very spacious. The view of the bay area is phenomenal and the host was extremely helpful to everybody staying. I would highly recommend this apartment for anybody (as long as you plan to rent a car) as it really is a wonderful and quiet getaway as well a being extremely close to downtown Berkeley. It is also close to a variety of train stations making the trip to San Francisco an easy one.

Warm welcome. Spacious rooms, cosy living room, well equipped kitchen, great panoramic views from the spacious balcony. Car needed as property lies uphill from the nearest food shops and metro link to the Uni or SF. Good and secure parking facilities on property.

Truly wonderful experience. The flat is clean and beautiful with plenty of great books for all ages. Puzzles for the kids. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing views of the bay bridge. We stayed with our three kids aged 9, 12 and 14 and it was no problem. Gillian is really great and took care of everything. There was plenty of notes and information about the area; where to eat, shop etc. We felt that someone had taken the trouble to think of their guests. Thanks Gillian.

This place is absolutely breathtaking. The views, architecture and decor make you feel like you are in Tuscany, yet only a few minutes from Rockridge, Berkeley, and freeways. This is a very spacious two bedroom, with a great study, and laundry room. Gillian is a very welcoming and friendly landlord. She even welcomed unsolicited visits from our kids, introduced us to other families with kids in the neighborhood, and gave us homemade granola.
