These apartments are located in Stargarder Str., just 200 meters away from S- and U-Bahn-Station Schönhauser Allee. The Stargarder Str. is a really trendy area, you will find all kinds of restaurants, bars and individual shops just in front of your door. Artists and families are living here. A very safe but creative and exciting place. At the station, there is a big shopping mall with several supermarkets and other shops.
From here you can reach all the mayor tourists spots of Berlin in a few minutes by subway. The Berlin Wall Memorial and the attractions in Prenzlauer Berg, like the flea market at the Mauerpark or the famous Kastanienallee and Kollwitzplatz can be reached by foot. Or just rent some bikes and get everywhere easily.

This is a very clean, nice, basic apartment in a good location in East Berlin. There are lots of cafes and bars outside your door and a short stroll down to Kastinallee.
On the negative side, the bathroom is fairly small and the apt is a number of floors up a fairly dark unrenovated stairwell - in case either of those things bother you.
Overall very positive for backpackers or for getting away for a weekend. -

The appartment has a lot of light, has a friendly and comfortable ambiance, the rooms are big enough. We were overall very content. The appartment is situated in an alive and young area of the city, but isn't loud.

everything was very clean and nice. Just the second bed was not so good.
But for the children it was ok. The area around is also phantastic just go out and enjoy. Parking is possible in the shopping center (...arkaden) near by and not so expensive as the tickets from the police :) -

My boyfriend and I are still talking about this beautiful apartment - sunny, gorgeous high ceilings, clean and modern. The building itself has not been renovated and is a bit dingy and gritty, but don't be put off by that. Stargarder Strasse has lots of great restos and cafes as well as shopping. It's a vibrant neighbourhood, and I recommend the Thursday and Saturday Farmer's Market in nearby Kollwitzplatz. David Schumm was very helpful and professional. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Well, the building really is original, its old, not renovated and features some great wooden staircases. Once you enter the apartment all is good! Lovely apartment, bright and well equipped. It really is in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, yet not as noisy as you might expect it to be. We loved the bedroom facing an old brickwall and chestnut tree. Lots of restaurants and cafes down the street, even the babyphone worked and we could sit downstairs and have dinner :) Its modern, but not luxurious. The apartment manageress was very helpful and friendly. All in all lovely stay.

small but very clean and bright appt. in Prenzlauerberg. Near to Helmholzplatz, with a lot of nice bars and restaurants within alking distance. Close to the U- and S-Bahn.
Bathroom is rather small but for a short holiday, one can overcome the inconvenience. Kitchen well equipped. -

No Complaints here! The sofa bed was a little wonky (broken), but manageable for two petite girls. Location and apartment are wonderful. Everything in the Kitchen was in working order, the bathroom as well. Super Comfortable, and the staff was super responsive. If you are looking to be connected to the internet though, this place is not recommended. However there are internet cafes around the block (30 second walk), and the cafes and shops in the area are really nice. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay in Berlin, in large part due to this wonderful apartment. The area was great; lots of bars and cafes, and very easy to get around by public transport. The apartment itself was big and comfortable, with everything you could need provided. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location for everyone who likes to walk out the door and have a coffee or a pizza just right next to it and all that in a very stylish cool part of berlin still not to croweded ... we loved it!

Don't be put off by the graffiti on the entrance - upstairs you will find a bright, clean, airy apartment with all you need for a great stay. Only critisism is the stairs if you are a bit unfit and it could seem a little bare in winter.

We stayed for four days at R3L Stargarder Strasse in a very sunny Berlin. We had a wonderful time starting from this great home base. The apartment is situated in the northern part of Prenzlauer Berg in a quiet street with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Foreign tourists are around, but most people hanging around are locals.We rented a bike around the corner which is the best way to travel through Berlin if the weather is permissive. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped. Would stay here next time!

The building itself is in a very bad shape and therefore quite shocking at first sight(though annouced in the apartment's description),but once you've entered the flat it's all O.K.
