Green living in one of the most beautiful monuments of the area: Gutschow House, built in 1895 by famous German architects Kaiser & v. Groszheim , represents an important work of historicism (gothic revival and new renaissance). Due to the complex façade design, its location and its history, the house is the landmark of southern Friedrichstrasse . It is the only house of the area which survived the war unscathed. Was this, because from 1910 until 1990 was here the Mecca of the Magicians due to the magic center of the world famous illusionist Conradi-Horster ?

2006 the green party conjured a unique project: all tenants received the first right of refusal and got the chance to buy and develop this famous house by creating a partnership with investors (first were two former bank chairmen, later filmmakers). But why only we made use of this right?

Eco Luxury in a significant national heritage monument of the area. The building has been 2012/2013 fully restored (new roof, elevator, balconies, windows, heating, water-, electricity- and drainage-system, bathrooms etc.). A four-room apartment with two bathrooms, organic build (shielded electrical cables, floating oak floor) and fitted with products of the German market leaders for natural products: clay walls by Claytec, spelt, kapok and latex pillows, pure latex mattresses and Tencel (cellulose) blankets by Dormiente, towels, bed linen and curtains made from organic cotton (KBA) by Cotonea, water vitalization by Ewo, frameless glass shower from the top series of Davita by Schulte, Red Dot Design shower head Raindance by Hans Grohe, bathroom faucets by Grohe, Architec sink and Stark 2 toilets by Duravit. We performed a study by the standard of Biology Building. All cleanings are made with gently dosed organic materials, no softeners, no perfumes. Our apartments are also decorated that between 10am and 3pm a thoroughly cleaning can be made.

Massive oak dining area, beech kitchen, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, egg cooker, quality pots and the required tableware, washing machine, sleeper sofa, LCD-TV, stereo, DVD, Wi-Fi hi-speed internet access.

The three bedrooms are separate, each equipped with a large double bed or two single beds. Two separate bathrooms each with shower and toilet. 2nd floor, 50 steps, elevator only available if booked together with the front house apartment.

From Berlin Tegel Airport the distance to the unit at FriedrichstraĂźe 17, 10969 Berlin-Mitte is about 12 km (7.5 miles), approximately a 22 minutes drive by car. In addition, there are good public transportation options available for Berlin-Mitte, in case you don't want to rent a car. Here is the city center, where most of Berlin's attractions are reachable on foot: Checkpoint Charlie (the most important symbol of the Cold War) 2 min., Jewish museum (the most significant example of contemporary architecture) is our immediate neighbor, Martin Gropius Bau (the most eminent exhibition space) 15 min., Potsdamer Platz (the most popular attraction of New Berlin) 20 min, Gendarmenmarkt (one of Berlins most beautiful squares) 15 min, Brandenburg Gate (the symbol of a reunified Berlin) and Reichstag (city's most recognized landmark) 30 min, Museumsinsel (Museum Island, UNESCO world heritage) with Altes Museum, Neues Museum, Nationalgalerie, Bodemuseum and Pergamonmuseum 30 min, the docking station for Berlin's most famous boat tour , the bridge tour, at Hallesches Tor 3 min.

The new center for Berlin Art galleries is located at this place. Here is the boundary line between alternative, multiethnic district of Kreuzberg and the posh borough of Mitte. “The culinary highlight of the city”-Tim Raues Restaurant 3 minutes walk, Lafayette 10 minutes walk. The area has also a high quality but low-cost infrastructure: organic canteen at nearby Waldorf school or LPG Europe’s biggest organic supermarket.

The above mentioned minimum price is for 1 to 4 persons, inclusive of electricity, heating and water consumption. Each additional person has to pay € 25 extra per night. There is no deposit required.
Final cleaning upon agreement. For our team’s operation there is a flat rate of € 80, inclusive of bedding and towels.
50% deposit. The remaining 50% has to be paid 30 days before arrival.
During New Year's Eve and Berlinale there will be a 30% increase in the rent and minimum stay will be 5 nights. Berlin Marathon 30% increase in the rent.
Parking € 8 per day and car.
Check-in from 3pm until any time, check-out up to 10am, but the luggage can be stored on the ground floor any time.

More travel info about Berlin-Mitte: Mitte is the first and most central borough of Berlin (Mitte is German for middle). Mitte encompasses Berlin's historic core and is a must-see area for anyone wanting to get to know this German metropolis. Until 2001, Mitte was itself an autonomous district. It is the seat of the Berlin City Hall (Rotes Rathaus) and of the main tourist attractions of the city. The area includes some of Berlin's most important tourist sites (like the Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and the Reichstag, among others), most of which were in East Berlin.
