The old Blacksmith building is located in a quite courtyard environment in the center destrict of Berlin in the Perleberger Str.16, close to the new Berlin main train station and the Fritz-Schloß park. The name is derived from the historical function of the 100 year old building as a service workshop for the Ulanen barracks which had 1200 horses. The window view on the courtyard is like a look back in the history of this part of the Berlin and shows the old brick building of a two storey horse stable. The apartment is located in the North of the Tiergarten Park in the city centre, close to the inner city airport Tegel and the political city centre around the Reichstag building. There are very good public traffic connections and short distances to the historical and cultural city centre.

amazing we got a really good reception, Stefan le Barre `was there to show us around. It was a really nice apartment, good decor and perfect for us three couples who were away on a long weekend. The apartment was very good, and although it is in the middle of a big city, there was no noise from traffic. there was not far to U-bahn and S-bahn station, and from there it was very easy and very cheap to get around in the whole of Berlin. If we come to Berlin again another time we would like to rent this apartment again.

A luxury loft in an historical building for a very cheap fee. Everything was as described, clean and new. The location is not so closed to downtown but the bus stop is in front of the house.

A small group went to this beautiful loft for a 40th birthday weekend and could not praise it highly enough. It was just hard to leave it to explore this fascinating city was the only problem. Really well equipped and immaculate.

Super Location für einen aufenthalt in Berlin - großzügig, luxuriös, zentral, gepflegt. Für 6 Personen auf jeden Fall geeignet und durch die offene Wohnung hat man ein super Flair. Des Weiteren bezahlbar und direkt an S-Bahn gelegen.
Das Loft ist nur zu empfehlen :)
Nur bei der Restaurantauswahl sollte man genau schauen (Datum des Flyers). Wir waren bei dem Restaurant "Lichtblick" zum Frühstück und abendessen und waren restlos begeistert ;) -

This was our third stay at a Berlin Lofts apartment and our second stay at Perleberger Street.
Once again from the moment contact is made to book an apartment to arrival everything is so simple and friendly.
The apartments are excellently located for sightseeing.
There are some great, friendly bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the building.
The standard and quality of the apartments always exceed expectations.The apartments always contain everythings that you will need for your stay and more.
We are already planning our next visit and will be staying at a Berlin Lofts apartment.
Thank you Stephan once again for making our break all the more enjoyable. -

we really annot say enough good things about staying at the old forge loft. First of all, the apt itself (for a very reasonable cost) far exceeded our expectations. It is just north of the Tiergarten but far enough from hustle and bustle of very central berlin so you can feel a bit relaxed. It has real neighborhood charm and restaurants but is only minutes from central berlin and easy to get anywhere in Berlin by bus, metro, bike. (btw, excellent bikes are inexpensively rented by Stephan here with helmets) The apartment was huge up to date, well equipped kitchen, great large wooden table for meals, TV , wifi, and upstairs 3 spacious rooms, comfortable beds, 2 full bathrooms. In general, the apt is clean, modern, lots of wood, comfortable, and spacious. A lovely courtyard area connects several of the apts for rent here. And as if the above was not enough, incredibly attentive, professional Stephan and his lovely wife Babette live here and are always around to answer questions, be of assistance or make suggestions for things to do in Berlin. You cannot go wrong renting this apartment. We are a family of 4 with two boys 14 and 11, plus we had a family friend visit and stay here with us. Plenty of room. Oh, Did I mention we loved the apt and Berlin and will be back? :) One last thing, the last day we had a 5pm train out of Berlin but had to check out by 11 am as our apt was rented out that day. Stephan allowed us the use of an apt that was not being used that day to stow our stuff and clean up after having the entire day to visit more of Berlin. That says it all about our host.
