Location, location, location. This apartment was clean and simple - nothing special on the inside, but it met our needs just fine. However, I would absolutely recommend it as a place to stay, given the spectacular location on Gendarmenmarkt. Steps away from a subway station, we purchased a week-long unlimited pass for transit and barely used it, since we walked virtually everywhere, to all major sites in the city. Close supermarket, City tour bus stops steps away from the front door. We were travelling with two young children, ages 5 and 2, and the owner provided a travel cot for our little one. We also had a few requests upon arrival (bulb in bathroom out, no bowls in the kitchen), and andre responded right away. Downfalls: tiny bathroom, no internet, no "charm" to apartment, but if you're looking for a simple, clean, central spot, this was perfect.

A perfect place for the real Berlin experience.
Left on 09/13/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Located near to a most beautiful square with concert house. Very calm and peaceful. Clean and comfortable facilities, quiet balcony. Most pleasant contact person, Andre was efficient and helpful. I would certainly stay there again - it felt like the real Berlin and not too touristic. Easy acces to metro, restaurants, tour buses and main shopping streets.
