Carlisle, PennsylvaniaRoomy, comfortable, great price and fantastic owners!

My boyfriend and I wanted to take an inexpensive trip to Bermuda, so we found the price of Windsong to be a great deal compared to all the expensive hotels. I expected an apartment with small rooms, but the rooms at Windsong are large and roomy. Roslyn and Colin were very welcoming and even gave us a ride into town to get groceries. The apartment was clean, and our dishes were washed on a daily basis (really unnecessary, but so appreciated)! The owners gave us a lot of information about the island, too. We thought we could see all of Bermuda in just a few days but quickly learned that was not the case. We will most likely make another trip there, and it is very likely that we will stay at Windsong again.

We spent 3 weeks in the 2 bedroomed cottage and had a great time. It was well equipped and has plenty of room for 4, so for just us 2 it was brilliant. Roslyn & Collin were always very helpful & friendly but were not intrusive.
We used buses and ferries to get around as the books of 15 tickets were very good value. Sometimes we walked to the centre of Hamilton, about 20 minutes in the heat and humidity, other times we took the bus, at the stop just a few minutes down the hill opposite the gas station. It goes all the way to Spanish Point before going back to Hamilton.
If you don't like walking, rent a scooter to get around or take a taxi (about $10 back from a night out in town).
Don't forget to greet people on the bus or in the street as they do to you. It's the Bermudian way and makes your stay much more memorable. -

My boyfriend and I booked a very last-minute trip to Bermuda from Boston and wanted to save some money on food and expensive hotel costs. Windsong allowed us to do just that! The $120/night was unbeatable and we were promptly greeted by Roslyn when we arrived by taxi. The one-bedroom apartment was very large, airy, clean and comfortable, and the property itself was lovely and well maintained. Once we were settled, Collin personally drove us into the city, showed us around and the accompanied us to the supermarket to stock up on food for our stay. He was incredibly friendly and helpful - as are most Bermudians.
Windsong is about a 15 minute walk into downtown Hamilton and Collin showed us where to buy bus and ferry passes. For the more adventurous, this would be a great spot to park your scooter.
We relied on walking and buses to get around to beaches and different points on the island. Despite taking a little extra time to get places, this worked out well and allowed us to see a lot of the island in just 3 days and to meet some great locals.
If you're on a budget and willing to walk, scoot, or take cabs to beaches, Windsong provides perfect accommodations with daily cleaning service, wonderful hosts, and prices you won't find anywhere else. We'd stay here again and recommend it highly! -

My wife and I stayed at Windsong guest appartments for our our honeymoon. It was a very good choice compared to all the other guest houses and hotels around this price range. It was very affordable, but there was no compromise on the confort or the cleanliness. The place is very well taken care of and the owners will definitely make sure you have everything you need. There is no land line in the room but insteady Roselyn, offered to lend us a cell phone, all we had to take care of is the pre paid talking time. The location is perfect, even though we don't get an ocean view, we are only 2 minutes away by moped from the north shore. The garden is quiet, peaceful and surrounded by mature palm trees. Located a few minutes away from Hamilton City Center, you will be pleased by the convenience of being close to everything you need. This place might not be suited for luxury-minded travelers but mostly for people seeking affordability, comfort and have some money left in their pocket to enjoy everything else the beautiful islands of Bermuda have to effer.

These honeymonners put something into their vacations and got a lot back. They enjoyed the grounds and our beautiful Island Bermuda. That's how you do it!

North CarolinaGood price, comfortable room, boring location

Rosalyn is nice, the apartments is spacious and fine. I have no complaints about it. If you are there for business, it's close to Hamilton center. We walked to the bus terminal, also to the ferry. (It's a long walk if you're not accustomed to walking.) I was just disapponinted that it was in the middle of a city and nowhere close to anything slightly pretty. There wasn't a pool (which I knew ahead of time, no fault of theirs), and it doesn't feel at all like a tropical vacation hotel. The room serves its purpose, and it was clean and reasonably priced, but if you are looking for any frills whatsoever, spend a little bit more money and find something closer to the beach. Business:Yes, Honeymoon, or anniversary celebration as was our case: Probably Not. :)

I highly recommend the guest apts. at Windsong. The guest chalet was so comfortable I hated to leave. Impeccably clean and updated with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The location was perfect for a business person, just minutes from downtown Hamilton.
The hosts Collin and Roslyn were extremely accommodating, professional and friendly. I can't wait for my next stay at Windsong, Bermuda -

First of all, Roslyn and Collin anderson are the most gracious proprietors of the Windsong Guest apartments. Should you require or need something during your stay all you have to do is ask either of them and they will be very accommodating. We (my wife and I) stayed at the Windsong for a week during our first visit to Bermuda. The Windsong is located near the main port city of Hamilton. We found the public transportation (bus and water ferry) to be both accessible and on-schedule for the most part. Although, the topology of the island is quite hilly and the Windsong is located at the top of a hill; so, it helps to be in good climbing shape or make arrangements to rent a scooter or take a taxi. As for accommodations, we found the Windsong to be well maintained, clean and serviced on a daily basis. We very much enjoyed our stay there and offer our recommendation to potential future quest. Best advice for making the most of your stay at the Windsong is to communicate with Roslyn what you are looking for in an enjoyable stay/visit to Bermuda; they'll (Collin & Roslyn) do their best to make you feel welcome.
