Corbett Cottage is a cosy holiday cottage in a quiet friendly farming hamlet near Holy Island, Northumberland and 6 Miles south of Berwick on Tweed. It has one double and one single bedroom, a log burning stove, private garden and conservatory. The cottage has recently been refurbished throughout to achieve a contemporary country style whilst retaining the original features and is personally maintained by the owner. It has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, separate shower and bath. Corbett Cottage is a cosy red brick holiday cottage built in the 1860s and is located in a quiet friendly farming hamlet near Holy Island. The cottage has views over open fields to the sea from the back and views of the Cheviot Hills from the front. There are walks from the cottage on quiet roads taking in a an award winning farm trail with community wood. The nearest beach which is quiet, with golden sand and dog friendly dunes walks is 4 miles away. The small historic market town of Berwick on Tweed with its Elizabethan town walls is just 6 miles to the north. The Scottish Borders are easily accessible for day trips as are the beautiful Northumberland coast with its numerous spectacular castles and Northumberland National Park.
Directions to Corbett Cottage
6 miles south of Berwick on Tweed and 1 mile off the A1. From the south turn left opposite Haggerston Castle layby and follow the road for 1/2 mile. Turn left off a right hand bend and then first right to New Haggerston. Immediately to the left of the row of cottages is the driveway. Turn in and park to the rear of the property, next to the brick outhouses.
From the north, drive south on the A1 past Berwick on Tweed for about 6 miles. Turn right at the sign for Ancroft. Follow the road round and turn right on the sharp bend, take the next right and follow as above.
Nearest main line train station is Berwick on Tweed. Nearest bus stop is Haggerston on the A1
