MiddletonLots of room!
Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We've stayed in several different Bpla accomodations. This one is not luxury by any means, but, it had everything we needed and a lot of stuff we wanted. There is plenty of room for a lot of people and lots of comfy beds to sleep in.

Germantown, WIJust what we were looking for
Left on 01/31/2013 for a stay in January 2013
The accomodations were what we needed. The only minor issue we had was that the wood for the fireplace must have been damp inside and there was not enough kindling so that we could not start and keep a fire going.

DuluthGreat Guys Ski Weekend Place
Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We had 8 guys on our weekend and so needed 8 beds. While the unit had only 7, there was plenty of room for an air mattress on the floor of one of the bedrooms. It was not the fanciest of units but it was perfect for us. The unit had lots of space for people to sit to watch TV and to eat. By shifting the large table, we were able to seat all 8 together for meals. The WiFi service was excellent as well as the selection of TV channels. The only downside for a group as large as ours was having only two bathrooms though it wasn't a big problem. It is a ways away from the ski base but the shuttle service is fantastic, it showed up only 5 minutes or so after I called and went right to the chalet. Diane did a fantastic job of helping set up the reservation and she even was there to check us in. She went the extra mile to help find a suitable unit and make us feel welcome.

Chicagoplace to rest your heads
Left on 10/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
not really a 5 BR - the fifth BR is really the landing area for the second floor in between three other decent ones. For some reason, the owner or the lodging association decided to build a deck on the back while we were there so we had an entire day of hammering and sawing and general loudness on a rainy day when we were stuck at the house.
There is a locked up area downstairs, inaccessible to the renters and several of the guests wrote some creepy things about it in the book, so we spent a few hours wondering what or who is down there. It is really a 2-and-a half star location, but not really a 3. We stayed in august, but I could see it as 3 stars if you just want to party and do some skiing over the winter. Not the greatest family vacation spot, but we love the area. There was a lot of construction debris all over the property, which was pretty much a mess. I do not think we would stay there again.Response from Big Powderhorn Lodging Association - 10/17/2012

Manager
First, thanks for staying with Big Powderhorn Lodging Association. We value all of our guests and we regret that your experience was not what you expected. Our crew felt it had your permission to work on the deck as long as it wasn’t too early in the day and when they showed up the second day left immediately when you objected. Our unit owners sometimes choose to lock off certain areas for their private use or storage. That is the case at Bear Summit. On your next stay with us one of our Vacation Planners will guide you to a unit that my better suit your needs in terms of size and location. We have 100 units to choose from. Lomira, WIPleasantly surprised with this "Economy" rental.
Left on 02/16/2012 for a stay in February 2012
This cabin was very cozy. We came up skiing on the coldest weekend of the year, and were very comfortable in this cabin. Plenty of sleeping room. Neat and clean. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was, considering it was in the "economy" category. Our group of 7 stayed during our ski trip and we had a great time. I'd definitely come back!
Water pressure isn't the best, but nothing that would deter us from returning.

Left on 02/02/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We have stayed in two other units w/ Bpla. This one was the least clean. There were mice droppings in the baking pans. The coffee pot had old grounds in it there. It was over-all rather worn.

be sure to ask for rudy or char at check in. they are great! stay in the 100, 200 or 300 series homes and you have easy access to the sled trails.
ask a lot of questions about your rental before you commit. our pics were not accurate. we assumed that we had the lower level of the home to our access. that was not the case. -

Port Washington, WisconsinWe had a great time skiing and staying with friends!
Left on 01/06/2011 for a stay in December 2011
Overall Bear Summit was comfortable and roomy enought for 12 people. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Our only complaint was the plumbing. There was very little water pressure so the showers were a dribble. If a toilet was flushed when someone was in the shower, they would get scalded. Bathroom fans were not working either.
