Neenah, WIGood Experience, Year after Year
Left on 03/13/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Once again, we had a great time at Starwood. The owners have put in some newer appliances and furniture this past year so that was nice. The set up is very good for our wide range of ages...grandparents all the way down to 2 year old, and everything in between. One nice bedroom/bathroom upstairs gives the grandparents some private space and the kids sleep on the bunk beds in the game room area in the lower level. Lower level also has 2 additional bedrooms and a full bath, plus a sauna. Also, You get a great deal on the price since this condo is not directly on the ski hill (not "trailside"), but is a very short walk down the driveway and across the street to ski. Coming in for lunch and taking breaks are easy!

Starwood was perfect for our group. We had 4 kids and 6 adults. The bunk area with foosball table was a perfect get away for kids while the adults could relax upstairs. The only downside, was the table could only comfortably fit 6 people, which for us was okay as the kids just ate at the snack bar. But, if you had 10 people who all wanted to eat around the same table, that wouldn't work in Starwood. I would rent starwood again, the short walk down the driveway then across the street to the trail was easy and convenient.

We enjoyed the comfort of the sofas where our family could visit and relax. We also enjoyed the privacy that the wooded lot offered. I would love to rent Starwood in September. We rent twice a year and Starwood will be top on our list from now on.

Lake in the Hills, IllinoisVery restful and peaceful as always.

We loved our stay so much that we have already been up there 2 times this year, and we are going again at the end of this month and again in September. The lodging association goes way out of their way to meet all our needs. We have been going up there for 20 years now. We would never stay anywhere else but Powderhorn Mountain. The people there are just the best. If ever there is a problem, they will go out of their way to solve it.
We thank them for all they do. -

We had a wonderful time thanks to the staff at Powderhorn. Had they not helped us we would have had to leave early. Thank you.

Neenah, WINice stay!
Left on 03/02/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This is a very nice condo. We really enjoyed it and it worked well for us with Grandparents, as well as young kids along. There are two levels so you can have some separation when needed. The location was great...short walk to the hill. Only needed improvement is the refrigerator. Lodging association needs to do a much better job cleaning though.

The lodging association was great! We needed water, they brought it. We called the shuttle, they came- terrific. Starwood has a great location and lay out for bringing kids. They house desperately needs new appliances. The fridge doesn't keep things very cool and the dishwasher is falling apart. The oven was fine.

NeenahSnap on Skis and Go!
Left on 01/10/2010 for a stay in December 2009
This home's greatest asset is location. It is simple to walk directly across the street, snap on skis and go! This makes it quite easy to enjoy lunch back at the condo as well. Starwood is nicely furnished with an enjoyable living space, fireplace, and galley kitchen. Suggestions for updates would include: better TV on first floor, add a TV in lower level for kids to be separated from the adults. Needs investment in new fridge(door doesn't shut tight) & new dishwasher. Mattress on master bed is very soft. Compared to other units, it is relatively welcoming and worth a repeat stay. Tucked in the woods for privacy, yet easily accessable to hill.
