Darker wood along with brick fireplace, give this chalet a cozy look. A small but fully equipped kitchen is separated from living room by counter. Long staircase leads upstairs to bright, spacious bedrooms.

Good news is the Bpla staff. They are professional, courteous and friendly-from the folks at the front desk (Char), the guys from Maintenence(who had to fix back door so it would lock, upstairs door so it would unlock, faucets turning in wrong directions to name a few) and the ladies in Housekeeping(who were kind enough to bring a new coffeemaker at 7am after the one in unit, which had to be one of the first ever invented, died).
Bad news-what a shame the owner has let this place run down so badly. Paying for a trailside unit and have a 3 foot drop off the back deck to go to the hill-no stairs=bruised shins trying to climb back up in ski boots! Very dangerous.
For what you pay, this owner should put some money back in to make this place to make it worth renting. Read more
Thank you for a great review of our staff! We are so glad we could make your stay better! We have let the owner know of your concerns of this unit.

We have been coming to Big Powderhorn Mt. for the past 30 plus years. It has become one of our favorite family time trips. We keep adding more and more skiers. This year our 3 yr old grandson took to the slopes! What fun it is to see everyone have a good time relaxing and playing. We have stayed in numerous chalets through the years but do enjoy the trailsides the most with little ones now going. This year we were to be in Holiday Haus and the snow conditions prevented it from being trail accessible so we switched to Timberline which we have stayed in previously, as well as Timbercrest. Probably we will not choose that chalet again until some upgrades are made as there are many nicer accommodations now. It was a great time anyway...we made do for 2013.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Timberline. We checked in on December 26 in the early evening. The layout of the rental was wonderful! We enjoyed the open concept large living room area with the dinette table and kitchen area on the side. With the three bedrooms and the foldout couch, we had almost enough bedroom space for our entire family, with our son sleeping on the foldout couch. The kitchen was completely equipped and we were able to make and serve meals. There was enough seating for our family between the kitchen bar area and the dinette table.
There were only two things that were disappointing.
The first was that we were supposed to be in a trailside lodge but because of snow conditions that was not the case. We realize that was unavoidable and we were given a price consideration to offset this matter. The second was that there was ice (from snow dripping from the roof) on the stairway leading into the lodge. This was concerning for several family members, including our pregnant daughter, and for me because I have knee issues. Our future son-in-law fell coming down the steps. There was no salt to melt the ice. In retrospect we should have contacted the lodging association to deal with the ice. I believe that they would have helped. We plan to come again because our overall experience was so good!

We had a good time. The Fall colors were brilliant! Timberline is showing it's age though. Could use some freshening up and some repair work, such as on the sliding windows that didn't seem to work. Overall it was comfortable and gave us the room we needed.
