Flintlock was awesome. Two families with 6 kids total and we were more than comfortable. The place was clean and just what we were looking for. The location was perfect for the kids - accessible on two different green runs and we let them have the run of the hill. Also great for the parents - walking distance from the alpen Inn - so you can stop for a few drinks late in the day and ski home after the slopes have closed. Skiing was perfect - fresh powder every day.
The service was excellent and they went above and beyond. One of the kids left the interior lights on in the car and the battery was dead when we went to leave for home. Bpla not only provided jumper cables, they drove them out and actually jumped the car for us. Flintlock is a great place to stay when skiing Powderhorn - we'll definitely return. -

We stayed at Flintlock the last weekend in February. The snow was abundant, beautiful powder. The Big Powderhorn Lodging association staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We cooked all our meals, feeding, sleeping, and entertaining our party of 8 comfortably. We will be returning next year!

Our family of 10 stayed here over President's Day Weekend and had a great time! The house is very well appointed with everything you need from blankets and pillows to pots, pans and servingware. We loved the wood burning stove and the ample cut wood. The house was great for ski-in/out with the run only 20 feet from the back door. The Bpla people were awesome and came immediately when we needed new towels and provided excellent service at check in and out. The only negative to this house is only 1 shower and we made due with a "showering schedule". We really enjoyed the house and plan to come back. I would highly recommend this home to friends and family.

We were not originally booked at flintlock, but when we heard that the ski in and ski out hills that were at our other rental were closed we asked if we could switch units. I am happy to say that they were very helpful in getting us into this unit. The home itself was nice but kind of small. the kitchen had like new appliances but again was small. It had very nice bedrooms and loft. The only things that could be better are as follows. there is no place to get ready for skiing or to hang your ski jackets. I also think every unit should be furnished with a water cooler since the water there is undrinkable. The hill to get to the unit is steep and hard to get up. They were very responsive when we asked for someone to plow the driveway so we could get in. We had a good time and a very nice stay. We have been coming to Powderhorn every year for the past 16 years and hope to keep up the tradition.

Everyone was freindly and accomodating.
The cabin is very clean and well appointed. Several of the appliances and fixtures seem to have been updated recently. Very cozy and relaxing with the fireplace/stove burning after a day of skiing. The location is great with easy access off the main road although getting up the driveway after 8 inches of snow was a little challenging. Out the back door, it is just 50 feet to the slope. You can step off the back porch, into your bindings, and go! Very convenient for lunch or a quick pit stop during a day of skiing. What I like best is the convenient location while also maintaining a woodsy cabin feel. -

Very nice home with many amenities. Well stocked. Wish it had a water jug. Unfortunately Flintlock run wasn't open when we were there, so the ski-in, ski-out feature was out.

Check-in was very easy. Our biggest problem was getting up the drive way, it is very steep and had not been sanded/salted, we got stuck and had to call the association office to get help. They responded very quickly, two men were able to get us out of the ditch and up the drive, they however were not at all friendly. The house is located in a great spot, the bed arrangements were great, I had 6 teenagers with me, they were thrilled to all have their own bed. While the house is obviously well used, it was very clean and it is obvious the owners have taken steps to update. The kitchen tile and bath floor are new and very nice. Kitchen cabinets could use some work and better lighting in the bedrooms would be nice. Overall this was a very pleasant place to stay-we would request and recommend it to friends.
