We had three families in this rental unit. It had plenty of bedrooms with comfortable beds. Having 4 bathrooms was great. With the large tv downstairs, the kids could be down there and the adults could still watch tv upstairs. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

This is a perfect rental for a family gathering. There are ample bedrooms and baths not to mention the sauna and hot tub which the young children love. The view out the main living area is wonderful. This was our fourth year at Sun Up/Down and the snow was Fabulous.

This was our third stay at Sun Up Sun Down. The home is wonderful for a large family gathering. There is plenty of room in the upper level for an extended family to eat and gather. The upgrades to the kitchen and bath were appreciated. We have always enjoyed the windows which provide fabulous sunshine and keep the home warm however this was an extremely warm weekend and wished we could have put shades on the windows. We plan to return in 2013.

We have enjoyed our stay at Sun Up/Sun Down. It was nice having 6 bedrooms however the up and downstairs bathrooms are pretty small. We really didn't watch much TV however it would have been nicer if the bigger TV was upstairs and not down. It was nice to come back from skiing and have all of us in the same area, kitchen and living rooms were like one room making it seem larger for our group of 14.
They had plenty of extra pillows and blankets which was nice. Also well stocked kitchen, including extra garbage bags which was a plus for us. Might want to let the guests know ahead of time where the garbage cans are. Took us 2 days to find them, not that we were looking really hard. Lodge was close to the alpen Inn which is where you can start your skiing from so nice place to park the cars and anjoy a warm drink or a shot-ski after your done skiing. The loft is a perfect place to have a man ask his girfriend to marry him and that is exactly what happened on the weekend of 2-25-12, she said yes by the way. Would stay here again if trailside is not available.

A group of us stayed 3 nights in February 2012 and we loved our cabin! It was clean, organized, and fully stocked with all amenities! We enjoyed the whirlpool, sauna, and flat screen tv for movies! Hope to score this gem next year, we will def be back!

We had 7 adults and 3 children stay in this unit and we're very comfortable. The house is well stocked with kitchen ware, the furniture is comfortable and the flat screen Tv's were great. The fireplace upstairs let smoke into the unit on our last night...we aren't sure why. It was fine the whole trip until this last night. Perfect for large groups. Kids loved it.

It was our first time skiing at Powderhorn and our family (kids and grandkids ages 7 to 13) all enjoyed the area. We were pleased with the job the snowcats did to prepare the snow following a day of rain. With the discounts you had for March skiing we wished we would have been able to benefit from the 25% discount you offered. We did have a place to stay that worked well for the 13 of us and so felt we had to make early reservations. We do hope to come back.

This was a great rental experience - the house was perfect for the three families that shared it and the service was top notch. For example, when we arrived at the location we noticed that there wasn't much firewood. I called the office and I think someone was there with firewood within 15 minutes!
However, when we walked into Sun Up, the orange stairs going up to the loft had clearly not been vaccuumed, leading us to wonder if anything had been cleaned. Also, the blanket on one of the beds was covered in human hair, which left us to sleep without blankets in that room.
Overall though, we would rent again and hope to be back next year! -

We always travel with a large group and finally had enough space so that no one was on a couch and everyone had a bed. Some rooms had an odd number of people - they slept three- but they were mostly spacious. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, and two kitchens.

Rental was clean and well equipped. It accomodated our large group of friends and family. Lot's of wood for the fireplace and well equipped kitchen.
