Bethany Beach Travel Resources
They call it one of the Quiet Resorts. It comprises the seven-mile stretch of sandy beaches that hug the southeastern section of Delaware. Welcome to Bethany Beach – which maintains a family-oriented, small-town ambiance, but its amenities and activities are plentiful and enjoyable.
The waters of Bethany Beach stay warm from May to October and support activities such as swimming, boating, boogey boarding, boating, jet skiing and water skiing. Fishing is a favorite pastime, and you can cast off in search of sharks, sea bass, tuna and marlin. The blue crab, Delaware's delicacy, swims these waters. Place a bit of bacon in your net, then head to the pier or to your boat, and try to tempt some of these babies to come home with you for supper. For those who prefer to let others catch dinner, the Bethany Farmers Market, held Sundays throughout the summer, sells fresh local fare, and local seafood restaurants cook up inspiration.
