Experience breathtaking views of the bay from every level of this new home. Situated in a very prestigious and private community along the bay, nothing sits between you and the water.
Enjoy sunsets while having dinner on one of the several decks or the screened porch. The four-bedroom home has its own boat dock for the amateur yachtsman. After an afternoon out on the water, take a nap beneath one of the ceiling fans. If you're craving some tunes, you can turn on the supplied stereo/radio.
There are a lot of fun things to do in the Bethany Beach area. You can, for example, go on a sunset cruise, play miniature golf at Captain Jack...Read more

What Past Guests Are Saying
Great Times in a Lovely Home ...despite the weather
My family of 10 stayed at Cotton Patch West (?) for three nights in October for my nephew's wedding. What a lovely home! Everyone was more than happy with their "assigned" bedroom. In fact, we were expecting one or two to have to sleep on the floor in sleeping bags, but we were able to make room for everyone in beds. The kitchen/dining room was large enough for making big meals with several people helping out without getting in each other's way. While we were in the middle of Tropical Storm Karen and the weather was less than ideal, it was warm enough to make use of the screened-in porch. Not so much of the gorgeous decks that were not enclosed ... save that for another time! The view was lovely even in the rain. The beach was a quick 10 minute walk away.
Our main concern was the carpeting in the dining room/living rooms that looked pretty dirty. The overall cleanliness of the house was about a 6 on a scale of 1 - 10. Since we rented in October, we were guessing that a good clean-up is probably done in the spring before the official rental season begins. The furniture in all rooms was comfy and very attractive. The kitchen could use a few more cooking tools and pots, but for a weekend, we made out OK. We were surprised that there were no dish towels for drying dishes so we bought a couple and left them there. There was plenty of parking available for our group.
Because we were there for a wedding and needed to get settled as early as possible on Friday, Crystal was generous enough to let us arrive before the 3:00 check-in time. That was graciously appreciated. Thanks!
All in all, we had a fun time in this beautiful home. Would love to come back.
This house is great. The rooms are very spacious. The kitchen had lovely appliances and finishes, the views of the sound are lovely for sunset and the built in audio system is great. Beach access does involve crossing route 1. I highly recommend this house!!!
Happy family memories
As soon as we stepped into the house, my family and I fell head over heals with this property and didn't want to leave. We loved it so much that we are currently planning our next trip back. We are so disappointed that the only weekend available in September is the only weekend we can't go. It doesn't surprise me how quickly this place is booked.
*Huge windows/glass doors to view the sunrise/sunset on every level.
*Love the modern and spacious kitchen with updated appliances
*Large rooms throughout the house
*Private boat dock to catch blue crabs and to fish.
*Wireless access available
The only reason I didn't give this place 5/5 stars is ease of access to the beach. It was extremely difficult to find the beach because there are no clear instructions of where to enter and where to park. The beach is not for the general public and only for those that are living/renting in the Cotton Patch communities. I felt like I was trespassing other people's property when searching for it. The beach is directly across the main road with opposite ongoing traffic. Definitely not safe to walk across the street with younger children.
We had furniture/suitcases to block off the stair entrance for both levels since we had a 14 month toddler with us. (something to keep in mind for people with small children.) We would suggest to bring your own sheets/comforters or laundry detergent (washer/dryer provided in the house) since there are so many people coming in and out of the property. Lastly as a suggestion for the property owner to upgrade for a bigger TV screen in the living room.

What a wonderful stay we had. Next time it will be longer. Everything was excessible, beach, boating, shopping and more..
Truly spectacular house with a few maintenance problems
This was our our 5th summer at 29552 Cove Way. It is a true paradise, filled with light, bay breezes, and comfortable and inviting spaces. We have 3 meals a day on the porch overlooking the bay, and watch sunsets from the deck. The hop across the highway to the beach is fast and easy. The beach is clean and wide and empty of crowds. We hope to return every year forever!
Our only complaint with the house was that it had not been fully checked for maintenance when we arrived -- there were light bulbs burned out all over the house, the kitchen sink was leaking, one of the burners on the stove did not work properly, some of the outlets were not working, and there was no gas in the grill. We called Wilgus on Monday morning. Their initial reaction was that we should try to do some of these repairs ourselves. After we refused, a repair person was sent to fix much of it, however we were told that we would have to go out and buy our own gas (reimbursable). Generally, we have been very happy with Wilgus, but we felt that for the cost of this house that maintenance response was pretty underwhelming -- especially being asked to take precious time out of our vacation to go buy gas for the grill.
Access to beach is very difficult.
This is a most beautiful setting .The house is truly beautiful and very comfortable.
wonderful house, great experieince
we have stayed in this house a number of years and love it. Our only complaint is that the kitchen seems to lack some basic supplies (can opener, sufficient cups, glasses, mugs, etc.). Also, there are not enough pillows for all the beds.
Something for everyone regardless of age.
The first floor bedroom, screened in porch and view were great for my 90 yr. old mother. The bayside offered excellent sunsets and gave my nephews, ages 11 and 14, something to do when not at the beach. They enjoyed fishing from the dock and crabbing for their first time. We all enjoyed mornings on the deck watching the boats, herons, osprey, turtles, etc. Crossing the coastal highway to access the beach was a bit of a deterrent but all of the other benefits afforded by this home made it more than worthwhile.
Good, quiet location, however lacks amenities.
Rented home in 2009, and was disappointed with deteriorated condition of cleanliness when rented at beginning of 2010 season. Of the three televisions on second floor, two did not work properly. Bathrooms had not been cleaned (moldy shower curtain; soap encrusted shower doors). Cockroach carcasses on floors. Very good location and comfortable home, however, general cleanliness and maintenance was disappointing for the rental price. Sorry, I cannot give a better review.
Why don't I live here?!?!
Well, the services started out a with a little bit of a hitch, but it was just miscommunication. The house itself is beautiful and large, and the best thing about it was the View, the View, and the View. Now there were other great features like the modern kitchen with all appliances and cookware, and the full home sound system, but the view and the privacy to go along with it; SPECTACULAR! The thing that I liked least about the place was leaving, and that was it. I was a little dissapointed that we couldn't get the wireless internet to work, but it just would have distracted me from enjoying myself and relaxing in the warm and inviting family room. My family and I will definitely return to this place sooner than later. Selfishly, I must confess that I hope that no one goes there so that the availability would be open for me to decide when to go back at anytime, but everyone deserves to behold not just the amenities of the home but the beauty outside the windows that takes center stage immediately at upon your entrance. To those that take my advice and put it to good use; mazel tov! To those that thumb through the reviews too quickly to really take it all in; your loss! Stay at this place and let it make your day, your weekend, and your week or longer; make your own memories, and just use mine as an appetizer.
relaxing with beautiful vistas
Very spacious and comfortable home. The beds were so very comfortable and there was plenty of seating in the living room with great views.
Our only regret was that we could note get to the beach very easily.
