Up to 10 travelers can stay in this great vacation home located in Bethany Beach. It features two living rooms, a large kids' room upstairs, and central air conditioning.
Feel free to bring along your laptop computer, as wireless Internet is provided. Use your computer to stream music, or listen to tunes with the stereo/radio instead. If you're a movie buff, you'll appreciate the two DVD players and VCR. Three bathrooms are available for your convenience.

The house is in a great location, walkable to downtown and the beach. I loved the two family rooms and two televisions. All of the common areas are comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen was very well equipped. The mattresses and pillows were not comfortable. I didn't like how the sliding glass door lock was broken and we had to use a bar to lock it. We were requested to be available for an air conditioner serviceman and it would have been nice if we didn't have to set aside 5 hours in the middle of our day to wait for him.

This was our 46th. year coming to Bethany and our 9th. year in 215 Maplewood. The walk to the beach is not that far, just a few minutes. The children love walking downtown after dinner, the fudge, popcorn and ice cream are perfect for desert. the fourth of July parade is a big hit and the fireworks is a super wonderful treat. Thank you.

We enjoyed our time at 215 Maplewood St. We loved the open kitchen/dining/family room and the kids made good use of the upstairs den. The screened in porch on the front of the house was our place to start and end the day, everyday.
Our only concern was that the bathrooms were pretty dirty when we arrived. The finishes in the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired, the cabinets are very low end (which doesn't reflect the rest of the house) and the floors are worn and didn't seem clean.
Additionally, re: cleanliness, we forgot sheets, which was our fault for sure, but it got us thinking that the bed comforters and pillow shams are probably not washed in between rentals... Gross!
Finally, one thing that rubbed us the wrong way, my Mother-In-Law left a satchel of jewelry. Wilgus retrieved it but charged her $25 to do so. This was over and above shipping charges. Then, she received a call from the shipping company, the street address didn't match the zip code... Wilgus had used the wrong address even though she specifically gave them her address, they used the our address. (we were the main contacts for the rental)Response from Wilgus Associates - 08/06/2010

Thank you for the feedback. The cleaning coordinator has been notified of the cleaning discrepency. With less than a 4 hour window to prepare the home for your arrival, no, bedspreads are not able to be washed/dry cleaned and returned to the unit. As far as retrieving lost items - there is a surcharge, which is noted in our literature. It takes time from one of our staff members to go and retrieve items, go to the post office, come back - call the guest with the pricing, collect your payment information and then back to the post office to mail the item. With our call volume and other clients to attend to, this is valuable time lost that we really can't afford to lose. We apologize that you are not happy with the surcharge and that the wrong zip code was placed on the package - but we are glad that she did receive her clutch back. We always encourage that guests double and triple check the premises for all of their belongings before departing.

The Bowman family has enjoyed staying at 215 Maplewood Street for many years. The house is lovely and layed out nicely to accomadate families. We have been coming to Bethany Beach for vacation since 1965 and have watched our family grow from 3 children to grandchildren and now great grandchildren. We have so many wonderful memories, as does the rest of the family, with the old beach and now the new beach, all with walking distance from the house, the rain storms with the streets flooding so much the kids could play in them (before all of the traffic), the 4th of July Parade, so many memories.
Thank you for making all of this possible by renting such wonderful homes, with all the benefits of a washer and dryer, dishwasher, T V, plus many more comforts. It really is a home away from home.
