Millrace Holiday Cottage

Arriving at Millrace Cottage reminds you instantly why Betws-y-Coed is the jewel in the crown of the Snowdonia National Park. Nestling at the confluence of three river valleys, the Conwy, the Llugwy and the Lledr, this home from home is at the centrepiece of some of the most magnificent scenery you will find anywhere in the United Kingdom.

The surrounding dense woodland gives way to dramatic hills and magnificent mountains, which once explored reveal hidden lakes, rivers with peaceful and secluded pools, spectacular waterfalls spanned by ancient, charming bridges.

Here you wil find instant peace and tranquillity that shuns the hectic world beyond the valleys.

Yet virtually on your doorstep you'll find pubs, bars, restaurants and grocerie stores. Shops that specialise in outdoor clothing, mountain bike hire, etc. The historic market town of Llanrwst is just 4 miles away and provides numerous shops, banks, two great butchers and a supermarket.

There's plenty though to keep you occupied in the town itself, which has always been an important and major part of life in these parts, including a museum with a miniature railway, the ancient 14th Century St Michaels church and The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre for those who want to find more about exploring the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding Welsh countryside and its many activities be they outward bounds, cultural or historical attractions.
